Soon after Phish began preparing to record "Story Of The Ghost", the band played some live shows in the northeast, labeled the Island Tour. They did two shows at Nassau Coliseum and two at Providence Civic Center. Each of these titles is comprised of three CDs. The Island Tour of bold openers continued with "Oh Kee Pah Ceremony" and "You Enjoy Myself". Set two saw the exquisite funkfest that encompassed "Maze", "Shafty", "Possum," and "Cavern". The crowd was then invited to stick around and dance to the funk. Needless to say, no one left. Review: LivePhish 04/02/98 - Phish, This band is simply awesome. They are four of the best musicians that I have ever herd. Like the Greatful Dead, Phish as a following in the millions I would say. The Greatful Dead had Dick's Picks, Phish has these board tapes of some truly amazing shows. This is for the Phish Hard Core fan. I would highly recomend this 04-02-98 show to anyone who wants a great live cd. The over all sound is really crisp and clean.... Phish, This band is simply awesome. They are four of the best musicians that I have ever herd. Like the Greatful Dead, Phish as a following in the millions I would say. The Greatful Dead had Dick's Picks, Phish has these board tapes of some truly amazing shows. This is for the Phish Hard Core fan. live phish 4-4-98
This is a quality sounding cd of a hot Phish show in spring of '98. The clarity of the recording is impeccable and the song selection is also nice.All in all a must have (along with the rest of the "Island Tour" shows).

Ahh . . . the epic Island tour
Well, 4-2-98 isn't anything to scoff at. Neither are 4-4 or 4-5. However 4-3 is the highlight of these shows. But still . . .

Well - this is 1998 and this is Phish so it's going to be excellent…and it is. There is plenty of superb stuff on here - I particularly like the Piper on disc 2, great stuff. I could go on but just buy it and you'll see for yourself.

Excepcional disco
Uno de los mejores grupos de rock de los últimos tiempos. Con más de 30 años de carrera es una lástima que sean unos perfectos desconocidos en España...si no me equivoco nunca han actuado aquí. Su música es una amalgama perfecta de todo tipo de géneros....Rock, jazz, funk ,soul,reggae, rock progresivo....todo es posible con Phish. Sus largas jam session y improvisaciones los convierte en algo único y diferente. Un grupo a descubrir y que nunca defrauda ni te deja indiferente. Sonido espectacular para un directo realmente excelente

I am in awe of the creativity of Trey and the boys. Never a dull moment. This is one of a series of nights which, when taken together show why Phish has an almost cult like following.
