Mosby's Pharmacology Memory NoteCards: Visual, Mnemonic, and Memory Aids for Nurses

I Love this Book!! Its super helpful and the little pictures and sayings help you really learn and memorize the medications. its gives the uses, actions, precautions, indications, side effects, and nursing implications for every med along with extra info. Sorted into categories and has both generic and brand names. Comes with an index in the back and has quick medication administration overview in the beginning to help you brush up on anything you may have forgotten. Its small and convenient and can easily fit in my scrub pocket without popping out. I love this book and use it all the time.

This pictorial flashcard style book is absolutely wonderful and magnificently colored. The concepts come to life for true nclex prep in easy terminology, humor, and most importanty current nursing knowledge. This review is an understatement to what these authors have done- it is the perfect way to refresh your knowledge and gain more of it in easy to grasp ways. Pricy, but worth the buy for any student just out of school. I have combined this buy with kaplan's nclex-rn 2015-2016 practice test and strategy workbook. Result? Nclex success.

These note cards have helpful mnemonics that make learning pharmacology a breeze. Medications are classified by category, and especially important info (such as adverse reactions, and drug interactions) are highlighted in a different color to make the info easily stand out. The cartoons make it easier to remember the info as well, because sometimes the silliest associations are the easiest to recall. I recommend this to nursing students taking pharmacology because it makes the memorization just a little more fun, simple, and easy to understand.

I like it...for what it does and for the medications it does have. Meaning, that i wouldn't skip buying the book I needed for pharmacology but it has made it alot easier when it comes to studying for pharm as the cute pictures and mnemoics makes it easier to understand certain class of drugs and medications. But as probably noted in previous reviews, there is a lack of certain medications and shouldn't be used as a basis alone for studying for pharm.

After reviewing the material ONLY 3 times in less than 24 hours to prepare for the HESI, I'd say this is the best thing that's ever been created! Helped me pass my exam, so I would definitely recommend all Nursing students to buy this product! The images are great, makes sense, and stick. All relevant information about the drugs, (mechanism, contraindications, etc.,) is listed.

I absolutely love these pharm cards! I am in my last semester of nursing school, and had to really crash study for my exit exam. With these cards, I was able to go from a 40% on pharm to an 85%. I am a visual learner and these silly but very helpful cartoons really work for me. I highly recommend them! All of my classmates love them once they see them. They are a little bulky as the spiral notebook itself is pretty thick, but I had no problem holding them in my lab coat or scrub pocket... so long as I tied my pants tight!

This had some good info, but for what I needed, it didn't include enough of the meds. So I returned this and bought PharmPhlash. I like it MUCH better and later bought PathoPhlash. Nursing school is no joke :)

I wasn't sure how well I'd retain information from these cards, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found that once I glanced at a certain card, the information actually stuck in my mind. It is unfortunate that I did not buy these sooner! This has helped me pass my final with an A (best score out of the four exams), but if I had purchased these cards earlier, pharmacology would have been a breeze. But I will treasure these for the future for my NCLEX and career. It has some fairly amusing cartoons, but effective for memorization. They are brightly colored and printed on sturdy cards so that it will last a while (it's not on cheap flimsy paper!). It has simplified cartoons in the front and detailed description on the back. It didn't have every drug that my pharmacology class covered, but it's certainly useful for the ones that it did have.

Useless! Can’t see where this books makes people understand easy interpretations of meds used on a daily basis.

Never ended up using it during nursing school, but it has been such a great resource to use while studying for the NCLEX. It’s so easy to bring anywhere and each page is really helpful.

I love it! It's a good size to put in my pocket for clinical and has really good information. I like the spiral bound design and the cards aren't extremely thin so I think they'll hold up well. Was a great buy!

What an excellent book for visual learners. Easy to navigate through, cllever, memorable pictures. A great help to me in my studies, and I'm sure in the future too. I would recommend anyone to buy this book!
