I got this DVD player recently, and it’s been awesome! I love watching old movies, and this makes them look way better on my TV. The picture is super clear, and it plays all my DVDs, even some from other countries. Setting it up was really easy, just plug in the HDMI cable and it’s ready to go. I also like that I can change the playback speed, which is fun when I want to slow down action scenes. Another cool thing is that it plays music CDs too, so I can use it to listen to my favorite albums. The USB port is a nice bonus because I can watch videos from a flash drive. It’s small but works really well, and I haven’t had any problems with it. If you’re looking for a simple good quality DVD player, I totally recommend this one!

This fit the bill for my purpose as a single CD player for music. It replaced a multi-disk CD player for which I never knew what discs were loaded or in what slot they were in. Frustrating. I like that it came with the USB power block, all the cables, and a remote control. Easy setup, worked perfectly, and sounds great through my Klipsch bookshelf speakers. I can't comment on video performance as that is not my intended use. A couple of minor nits. Wish it had a 'next track' button on the unit instead of having to use the remote. Also would like the track number to display continuously on the display, but it does flash the track number every 30 seconds. This was one-tenth the price of the larger name brand dedicated CD players. This may not have the features and higher end DAC circuitry but certainly meets my needs for now.

Amazon delivered this Tojock DVD multimedia player about 10 minutes ago. After unpacking (one minute) it required only that I plug in the Tojack power cord into a wall outlet and the provided cord from the plug opening labelled "High Res" on the DVD player (lower white arrow on my photo) into the HDMI type outlet opening on the TV where the former DVD had been plugged in. (That's the upper arrow in photo. I did not need to plug in any of the colored jacks to access sound. Just the wall plug and the one other connection. Since the Tojack only has one semi-USB looking access hole in back you can't mix that up. My TV (a Proscan fairly standard flat screen) with only about three possible places to plug in the DVD wire in the back of the TV makes it pretty easy to figure out the correct connection into the TV. With respect to the operation of the DVD, everything is simple. It has the usual operations (fast forward, back or forward by chapter, etc.) I have yet to try playing family home videos from my flash drives because mine are all over 16 GB and I recall the ad for this DVD indicated that it could not operate drives over 16 GB (mine are 32 GB). I have played parts of several DVDs including some old ones that, when put in the DVD player I just replaced, would skip around or just stop playing. The Tojack seems to be able to run right through the scratchiest areas on a DVD and still produce a good picture. So far this looks like it's a fine DVD player for the money.

What Happens if there is an Issue? This company WILL Surprise You I’m one of those “older gentleman” who does not have a lot of spare cash. And there’s not much that I enjoy on tv anymore. I do like music videos and watching older concerts from “my generation”. Unfortunately, at the worst time my DVD player quit working. I went on Amazon and purchased a very basic player from a company named TOJOCK. Never heard of them, but I thought I’d give them a shot. I excitedly set up the player – it must have been built on a Monday or something because it worked only half the time on my DVDs. Thought it was the DVDs fault, so I “went without” somethings for a couple of weeks to buy a DVD cleaner. Still 50% at best. Figured I’d contact TOJOCK to see what I could do. This company is DIFFERENT; while they stand BEHIND their products, they stand ALONGSIDE their customers too. I got connected with someone named “Choreo” at the company; he didn’t seem worried about getting their player back and just issuing a refund. Choreo wanted to help make it right so that I could watch my DVDs again. Apparently, CHOREO shared my story with his boss – I know have an even better player from them at no extra cost. AND IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY – Cher & Tina Turner never sounded so good! So, I HIGHLY recommend giving TOJOCK a chance. They will help if something goes awry instead of rushing to get you out of their hair. And Choreo, he sure represents their brand well!

Only used it one time; set up was easy, which I guess is a plus. The quality of the picture was pretty low, and I was quickly reminded how relatively cheap the device was, but overall the viewing experience was passable. Didn’t use it again for another year or two. When I tried, I could not get it to work. I couldn’t get past the main menu, much less watch a movie. At one point I was worried I wouldn’t even be able to get my DVD out of the machine because it was acting so dysfunctional. I did eventually, but I don’t trust it enough to risk putting another disc in there. This thing is absolute garbage and a waste of money.

I love watching the old DVDs I accumulated that were sitting in a case. It is small and thin, making the clunky, large one obsolete. It’s easy to set up and use.

Das Gerät ist erstaunlich wertig, liest auch ältere, verkratzte DVDs sehr gut. Das HD-Upscaling ist ebenfalls qualitativ gut. DVDs mit Region 1 werden auch anstandslos gelesen. Einzig der Sound ist etwas leise über HDMI, man muss den Fernseher ziemlich laut stellen. Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Gerät sehr zufrieden, fraglich wie langlebig es am Ende ist, aber das wird die Zeit zeigen.

This is an excellent DVD player in many ways. Compact in size, easy to set up, well made. This is a 10 out of 10.
