SSC foot pedal works!
I am writing this review for the Lotos Tig200acdcp (pulse model). This machine is awesome! I have been using it for the past year and all I can say is good things about the quality of welds this thing can produce. First and foremost, alot of people have been asking about foot pedals. The one listed by the seller is Lotos' model number "fp05p". It looks cheap, has a knob on the side for amperage control, and I just couldn't bring myself to buy that one. I instead did a lot of research, comparing the manuals for both this welder and the weldpro tig200acdc. It is the same manual, albeit with subtle differences in verbage sprinkled here and there. With that in mind, I decided to risk it and purchase the SSC foot pedal listed on weldpro's website for their tig200acdc (it is the only ssc pedal on their website so you shouldn't have a problem finding it). I got it in the mail this weekend, plugged it in, and it works just as it's supposed to. I thought i would share my success in finding this hidden gem for anyone else in the market for the best foot pedal on the market. I hope this helps other potential buyers in realizing you can buy the Lotos tig and still upgrade things with quality parts down the road. Cheers!

This welds aluminum beautifully.
Awesome Tig! Tons of adjustments. Makes me look like a pro. Welds aluminum like nothing I've got to see or use. AC adjustablr cleaning does a good job. Very impressive machine. I would highly recommend. Thanks lotus!

Lotos Tig 200 ACDC(P) Pulse!
So... I purchased the Lotos TIG 200 AC/DC PULSE model not long ago and received it a few days after. There was a growing reluctance and fear I would regret the decision to buy this model while waiting for the welder to arrive. I not have had enough time on this welder to accurately give a performance report but I just wanted to get the ball rolling and get some information out there on the pulse model. My reluctance impossible regret was growing because as soon found out although the lotus name has created a good reputation for itself, this new pulse model has not! There is almost no information out there and I would like to change that. So far, this looks like a quality unit. I have used both tig and stick feature on the welder and have not found anything to complain about As far as performance and fit and finish. The ground clamp is OK I guess, I will be upgrading it soon and the stinger for stick welding seems to be made from glass fiber reinforced material. I have found this welder will run 6011 and 7018 rod with no problem. Personally I like to run the 6011 on AC. I can’t even tell you how the European style TIG torch performs because my CK 17 super flex tig torch came in The same day I got the welder and have been using that. So one complaint that many have with the Chinese inverter welder’s is the oddball make up fittings and connection points. The Tig torch/argon connection input on the front of the welder is inverted M-16 x 1.5mm. eBay sells a ck17f tig torch with the correct M16 fitting already crimped but you can also order a standard 3/8”-24 connected torch and buy a M16 1.5mm to 3/8”-24 adapter from eBay for $20. I chose to get the adapter to have a “Permanent“ connection on my welder for other components. It can be a little challenging determining stuff like this when you have no reference and once you do conferment finding compatible components and accessories was equally difficult. But once you figure it out you will also know it is the same connection point that is on the Eastwood tig 200, the a AHP Tig 200 etc... so many of accessories for those welders are also compatible with this welder. The next annoying thing Was trying to find a compatible footpedal that would work with this welder. Under the Amazon description you will see the seller has listed a compatible footpedal for this pulse welder. They listed the “Lotos FP05P”. If you search this on Amazon a “Lotos FP05” tig welder foot pedal will pop up but it is not compatible with this welder. You must make sure there is a “P” after the “05”. It will not work because the pin configuration although it’s still a five pin, will not work. I went to eBay and searched the correct part number and a completely different style showed up and I ordered it. They say that footpedal will only work with this Lotos Pulse tig welder. Pretty disappointing to find the configuration they used allow us a very very limited selection of foot pedals. There may be others that work but I have found no official List or recommendations from Lotos. Next, the user interface is very smooth and user-friendly. Instinctively, just start pressing buttons on the front of the welder and you will get it. I say that because the instruction manual leaves much to be desired. So this has been an unorganized collection of thoughts and aggravations from my experience down this road. For some people I’m sure none of this will be an issue and technically it wouldn’t. But I am somebody that usually does endless research on something before making a decision. I don’t regret the decision to buy this welder And I understand that this is a very new model but I would strongly urge Lotos to do their diligence and get the information out there for those that are looking. Side note: i’m about 87.5% sure this pulse model is the same exact welder as the WeldPro Tig 200 AC/DC . Or made in the same factory, just different accessories included. Update: I sold my Lotos Tig 200 and bought an “ AHPTig201XD” in my opinion the AHP is a far better choice if you can spring for the extra $. But my review stands. The Lotos is still a decent welder.

Seems like a robust machine full of features.
I have been hoping to be able to weld Aluminum. My first couple goes with this machine have been promising. The seller was super helpful with some of my questions.

Great company to work with
I received a replacement welder today. the first unit had some intermittent troubles. I tested it as they directed when there was no real difference they replaced the welder with a new one. The new welder works fine both the TIG and the MMA. Thank you LOTOS.

Two 1/2 Year Update. Was Good value for money and a quality product. Get the control pedal!
I used this on fabrication projects for two years now including a massive structural project. Great welder for Stainless, Aluminum Alloy Steel and Carbon Steels. This is a very capable welder that can weld thin aluminum, stainless and other metals with your own skill as a welder being your only limit. Definitely get the foot pedal to control the amperage if you want to weld anything thinner than 1/8”. Good value for money with a lot of features. Torch uses common consumables and it can be adjusted to a stubby torch or full length. Pulse feature is good when welding thin stainless to help control heat. Again skill is the biggest limitation with this machine. I used it on stainless and carbon steel tube from .040” to .25” thick. Also Aluminum from .040” to 1/4” thick. This outlasts my MIG welder for duty cycle. For extended use the torch does get hot. I do not know if Lotos offers a water cooled torch but that would be a nice addition. The control pedal is different between the Pulse Welder and the Non-Pulse. Make sure you order the right one. I have not used the MMA feature yet.
