I didn’t use this for car door edging. I used it to edge DIY lids for aquariums. I made the lids out of twinwall polycarbonate which provide rigidity and allow 80% of light through. One drawback is that the airspace of the twinwall is exposed at the ends and water will get inside. I used this tape to seal the edges. It is crystal clear, completely waterproof and sticks well to the polycarbonate. The lid looks fabulous on my rimless tank and does not detract from the “glass box” look. I’ll be making this style for all future fish tanks. I did let it cure after application for 24 hours before exposing it to the wet environment. It sticks well, but you can also remove it without leaving an adhesive residue. I’m finding all sorts of uses for this tape now. It’s silicone under a shiny clear flexible and slightly stretchy plastic. It’s so clear that it doesn’t detract from the appearance of anything I’ve used it on. I have an old 1960s metal fishtank hood and I kept cutting my hand on the sheet metal. I used this tape to edge the sharp edges and now I don’t get cut. And it doesn’t look bad. Previously, I might have chosen electrical tape, but this is a much better solution. I’ve used it to edge glass And patch a pinhole on an inflatable plastic alpaca. Interior last over a year before rolling on the ends. Exterior still lasting longer. But look at the length?! Wasn't enough to do one door frame or anything.

Looks like this product was merged with others. The one I bought is the 1/2 in clear plastic tape film. They looks alright in places where the surface is easy to blend in. The surfaces that are harder to put on are the super curvy one like the mirrors--you'll get the tape bunched up a little. It's also kind of difficult to cleanly cut the tape with regular scissors--you probably need a sharp one to have clean ends. The ends seems to peels a little because of the weak adhesive power. It's not like this is adhesive tapes but they stick on quite well if you don't mind the ends seems a tad bit out of place. But from a distance, they are soft of invisible unless you really look for it--I say this despite having a red car, a black or white ones would fare better.

Terrible. Impossible to cut. Just sticks to scissors or knife. Hard to put on and SO thick you can't use more than 1 piece like to make wider or around a curve as it shows terribly. I took it off immediately and it peeled my paint off my bumper. Terrible.

Product is good BUT difficult to install without the bubbles forming underneath. Tried different ways with NO LUCK.

This tape is amazing! I was looking for something to be able to decorate my Jeep for my daughter’s birthday without damaging the paint. This definitely worked! It was easy to use and to add any decorations I wanted to the exterior. The paint didn’t get damaged and the decorations lasted for the entire weekend even though it was very windy. It is very clear so I’m sure it would be perfect for what it claims but I didn’t use it for that.

I got this because my dog keeps scratching up the paint to look out the window. This was so easy to press down and adhere. You can't even see that it is on the ledges. Don't forget to clean the ledges very thoroughly first. I got some dust on one, and it would not come off the tape.

Fantastic Product would recommend. Sticks and even with the heavy rain does not come off.

Its strong double sided tape not for use as protective strip for the car.

Not an exciting thing but the thick flexible clear tape does exactly what it is supposed to do, and one year on, it is still in place.

Good use for straight hidden car body parts such as inner rocker panels. Good low cost. Easy to peel if needed, no residue left so far. It is thick and quite protective. It is not that easy to apply for curve edge and likely not looking good, wringle and bubbles wont be easy to manage for most -- would not reccommend for curve edge or curve var body parts.
