Great tablet for beta fish
Our beta fish really like the tablets over flakes. The size is small and effective for putting in the tank. They last about two weeks. Didn't notice and foul odor on the tablets. The tablets are slightly hard, and the fish pecks at the tablet and the food breaks off right away.

Quality food
Worked well for when we went on vacation. The fish seems to love it.

Waste
Terrible, not eaten . Does dissolve in A weird way. Fish not interested even when held to feed him. He knows my hands and usually eats from them

Betta would not use during test period
Failed our test run - Not tablet, the Betta... Although we cleared a spot on the floor of the tank near where the Betta feeds he would have nothing to do with this. I don't think he could see it in the gravel or just ignored it. Maybe ours is a little spoiled he has a filtered 5 gallon tank, with a work from home mom. He simply would not even look at the tablet as it was slowly dissolving. I tapped the tablet with a stick so the food would float a little, nothing would get him to look at it twice. I did not initially feed him and he still ignored it. Went to feeding him a pellet in the morning and he still ignored it. After worrying about starving the fish we abandoned the test. The tablet did not cloud the water and after 5 days came out with no problem with the gravel cleaner. While it appeared to have no problems dissolving, it did not readily float and our Betta is not a bottom feeder so we will not be using it and will have someone come in and care for him while we are away. Glad I tested it first.

Betta fish block
It’s a timed released food block that you drop into your aquarium it sinks to the bottom and slowly releases the food into the water

Lasts About 5 Days, Doesn't Seem to Be Enough Food for My Betta
Because our family was going camping for a week, we had to leave my daughter's precious betta at home to fend for himself. We place a single Zoo Med Betta Banquet Block in his tank to help feed him through the week and hoped that it would get the job done well because we didn't have the foresight to test it for more than a day before we left. Thankfully the Betta Banquet Block did its job. When we got home, he was well and alive, but seemed either really excited to see him, or really hungry. We noticed he looked a bit thin, so we fed him as usual and noticed he looked a little more like his normal self by the end of the week. The block didn't cloud the water (presumably because we also have a decent filter in the tank), and it didn't make a mess at the bottom of the tank as we placed the block in a small bowl before we left. There was a think layer of mush in the bottom of the bowl our betta didn't eat. We then tested the Betta Banquet a week later while we were home, just to see how well the block dissolved and how much food it would release. The block ended up completely dissolving within 5 days and left the same red mush in the bowl that our betta again didn't eat. It explained why he was so thin - it didn't seem to release a lot of floating food (bettas won't eat food at the bottom of the tank) and it stopped feeding him by day 5. If you're going for 7-8 days, your fish will likely not have food for 2-3 days. While it's unlike it will kill your fish, this is still something to be aware of, especially if you have shrimp or other fish in your tank. While we're probably going to just feel our betta the remainder of the blocks, we will likely purchase an automatic feeder for future vacations. This block will serve its purpose for short excursions, but if you're planning to be gone for more than 4-5 days, an electric automatic feeder is a safer bet that your fish will get enough food.

Worked just fine for me
Due to scary reviews, I tested these two days before actually needing them and they dissolved just fine in (spring/drinking) water. In fact, they were dissolving quickly so I took them out of water to have some left to actually use. I have a 2 gal tank with no filter and was aware of potential ammonia building up quickly so I only used a quarter of a tablet. When I got back after 4 days, the water had some dusting at the top but was ultimately clean and my fish ate the pellets just fine. I recommend testing these before your vacation just to see if they work for you, how long it takes them to dissolve, and whether your fish even likes the pellets inside.

Great vacation feeder. Wish it was for 9 days though.
This is a 7 day vacation feeder for my betta fish tank. I’ll b gone 9 days and hoping he will be ok with the rationing.

Useful to have on standby if you go away for a weekend just put one in job done
these smaller ones are ideal for a weekend away and i use them regularly for that reason, they dissolve without any issues the fighting fish love them and therefore I will keep some to hand for next time I go away, when these run out I Will be buying some more.

Great for Vacation!
I used the Zoo Med Betta Banquet 7-Day Feeding Block while I was away for a week, and it worked perfectly. Just dropped it in the tank and didn’t have to worry at all. The block slowly released food over several days, and my betta stayed active, healthy, and well-fed the entire time. I really appreciate that each block is individually sealed — it keeps them fresh and moisture-free until you’re ready to use one. The ingredients seem high quality too, with a mix of krill, fish meal, and essential vitamins. A few things to keep in mind: the block will slowly dissolve, so make sure to do a water change after the week to keep the tank clean. And while it’s perfect for short trips, I still use regular pellets for daily feeding when I’m home. ✅ Pros: • Easy to use and mess-free • Keeps betta fed for up to 7 days • Sealed packaging keeps blocks fresh • Good quality ingredients ❌ Cons: • Slight clouding if left too long without water change • Not meant for everyday use Overall, this is a super convenient, reliable product for vacations or weekends away. Highly recommend if you want peace of mind while traveling!

Helps keep the fish alive while we’re away
These are pretty good for feeding our bettas while we’re away. The biggest issue I have with them is that they’re impossible to get out of the packaging.

Have used a few of these now, keeps my Betta fish fed for around 5 days.

Should have listened to the bad reviews, came back from vacation to a dead betta
Did a regular water change the day before we left, water was cloudy/stinky 6 days later (and this never happens - we can go 2/3 weeks no problem,) and barely any of the tablet had dissolved. Fish was dead, daughter was devastated. In retrospect, should have dropped the fish off at someone else's house, or found an automatic feeder. Skip these vacation blocks.
