Review: like others have said - There is no story to it, like others have said, but that's something that the parents notice and the babies/toddlers will not. What my 18 month old daughter sees when I read her this book is the different things that mermaids may do - which I think the author did a great job imagining since mermaids aren't real. She see's adorable pictures of mermaids having fun. She thinks it's funny and I can see her wheels turning on some of the pages, as well. It get's her imagination and curiosity going and she really enjoys this book. A fun, interesting, creative book that she loves is EXACTLY what I was going for! I love it and am very happy with my purchase.

A big hit with my grandchildren
We all love the water, so I chose this book about mermaids to give to my grandchildren on a recent visit. The younger one, who is three chose the book every night for me to read. I was there for 5 nights so I am reasonably sure he enjoyed it!

Great for an end of day , ready for bed, winding down activity!
I love all the Good Night books! Buy them for my Grands when I travel! Usually they carry them at local bookstore and refer to the state or country! Good Night Hawaii! Good Night San Francisco! A long list! Study construction!

colorful pictures
my one year old will love this book, i put it away for Christmas but the bored book will be nice so she wont tare the pages and the colors are very pretty not much of a story but hey its for a 1 year old.

Simple and sweet
It's true, there is no story and it doesn't rhyme. The Comic Sans makes it seem like a school project I made myself. However, the pictures are good. I've been reading this to my baby every since she was 6 months old every night. She is now 14 months old and specially likes the "silly mermaids playing dress up" part. I guess we made it our own. And because it is a board book, she carries it around a and doesn't rip the pages lol

Sweet, colorful book with nice prose.
Great little book about mermaids that won't scare a little one. The Disney story is very intense for those under 6 or so. bought this book to go with a little mermaid doll set that I made for two granddaughters, each turning one soon.
