I LOVE this A/C! It came completely well packaged, & undamaged. Super easy to install. It immediately began cooling my very warm bdrm. Within minutes, on a medium setting, my room was cool, & comfortable. The unit is much quieter than my previous 5000 btu unit. The remote was a little difficult to navigate at first, but found my prior remote works perfectly, & Im familiar with the buttons! I am so happy that I went with this A/C, I may buy another one to replace a smaller unit in another room. This is a great buy for a terrific A/C!!!

Purchased this air conditioner for my son. This ac keeps his apartment freezing which he is very satisfied with. Very Quiet too. Good purchase!

The air conditioner is not as quiet as it’s stated to seem, but I personally don’t mind it. Other than that it works great and its super easy to install. I bought both 6000-BTU & 5000-BTU and they both are great depending on the room size of course. The air conditioner with 6000-BTU air conditioner has a remote as well!

Does this air conditioner cool a room yes but very loudly like you’re in a hover jet that’s getting ready to crash!! You can’t watch TV you can’t sleep on top of this the air conditioner has pictures for the settings and that’s super annoying. The fan speed doesn’t go down to reduce the noise. I have never hated an air conditioner until now!! I just wanna lower fan setting!!! This air conditioner shakes my whole house on low. At least I think it’s low because you can’t figure that out because of the damn picture settings!! ! I just like a window unit for my bedroom. This one ladies and gentlemen is not it!!! I hate it!! It’s so loud I sleep in another room to get away from the noise. And I am a fan sleeper or a sound machine sleeper so I don’t like to sleep in silence. This air conditioner is a rumbling changing noise situation that is not comfortable for anyone to sleep. I promise you that or if you’re trying to watch TV. Good luck with that too.!! Sadly I bought it in the middle of a move process and didn’t install it till this week and I’m outside to 30 day return!!! buyer beware very loud settings a very difficult to figure out and set. The remote is a joke!! is the air conditioner too expensive to be this horrible!!! Literally I’m gonna throw it away and buy another air conditioner. Sadly, I paid to have it installed, and I bought it early in the season and it wasn’t hot by the time I used it I missed the return and as a single woman getting it out of the window and packaging it up there’s a huge pain. I’ll throw it away. Or donate it.

Cools the room pretty quickly and works well for a small bedroom or office. Installation was straightforward and the controls are simple to use. The only reason for 4 stars is that it’s a little louder than I expected, especially at night, but overall still a good value for the price.

This has been a game changer for me. It works well and it cools off quick. The room that I need it for where is medium size and I keep it on 62 and it stays cool in here it is a major difference with it being on versus being off I would recommend this and this came at a perfect time I've had it for over a month. It comes with a remote and I really enjoy it

The noise level is similar to a sound machine on a high-ish volume. The noise it makes when it reaches the desired temp is very loud and wakes everyone in the room and the room below up. It never feels like the room has actually cooled to the desired temp. Wish there was a way to just have it continuously blow air so at least the room stayed consistently one temperature. Should have paid the extra $100 for a reliable brand.

Bought as it started heating up in Arizona, so far it’s keeping up very nicely with the rising temperatures. Running at full cooling and fan speed the unit isn’t any louder than a pedestal fan somewhere in the room. It keeps the 200sqft room cool and costs much less than running the whole home AC. Easy to install in the window, not too heavy that you couldn’t install it alone. The airflow is fairly strong and helps circulate the air in the room well. Remote control works well and has slightly glow in the dark buttons for easy use at night.

This unit is a bit bigger than I expected it's about the size of 8000 BTU unit. Usually had 5000 BTU units in the bedroom and they wouldn't reach the living room that was just outside. This does that with ease! And I think it could actually cool down the main area of house with ease. Wasn't expecting much from an amazon basics brand but I have to say so far it's performing better than most known brands I had in the past (hisense, midea, frigidaire which all lasted me 2-3 seasons with yearly maintenance (cleaning for best performance which all went dead)) Pros: price, performance, easy to clean, can set the temperature you want, dehumidifier option which is very handy in Montreal where summers are very humid, there's a nice remote to set up your modes and open/close on a timer Cons: no wifi option, kinds big unit wish there was a WIFI option or an app to crontrol the unit (I haven't noticed anywhere anything mentionning the this feature, ill edit accordingly if I find a setting) the unit is a bigger than a most 5000 BTU models, sizing on par with the 8000 BTU model I have in the kitchen, had to get a bigger plexiglass for it
