This is the second time I use this system, now for my second hip replacement. It works extremely well, much better than a different one I used for a shoulder which required gravity to help it work. This pad lasted me for the required frequent icing in the beginning, and the less often icing in the later weeks. Expect it to be ratty by 12 weeks and needing a new pad for the next surgery, but it’s so worth it! Highly recommend. Save the elastic bands to use next time-wish they were longer.

Worked while it worked. After 5 months it got a small leak. I contacted the manufacturer and was told that because of certain laws they cannot cover it directly under warranty and seller won't either. I took very good care of it - no twisting etc... - especially considering I have a second hip surgery coming up that I planned to use it for. If I can affect the seller's bottom line with this review that would be great. Don't know if there's a competitor but I'm getting tired of buying garbage that breaks in 5 months. Even most computer equipment etc... has a manufacturer warranty. Imagine that I thought I could continue using this pad after sports and exercise to ice down my hip. HA!!!

I just had my hip replaced. I am using the ossur ice compression machine and just purchased the cold rush up pad for the right side. This pad works well and provided my hip with the best icing when compared to the cold packs I bought. The machine allows for a more consistent temperature and the water being constantly pumped into the pad allows for the best coverage since the pack doesn’t melt and get pushed to the side. The pad is large enough to ice my hip. My only complaints about the pad are I wish it was a little bit larger and that the ends connected with the middle. I also wish that he smaller strap was a little larger. I had an extra strap and the extra strap worked much better. A tip for the ossur machine. Freeze smaller water bottles and cool whip containers for ice or smaller tupper ware containers to help keep the machine run cooler for longer.

I had a hip replacement and this worked very well when coupled to my Briggs Polar Care unit. I just added water at the beginning to the unit and every 6- 8 hours changed out 4 frozen water bottles. It pumped cold water through the device and was easy to hold in place with the Velcro elastic straps that came with it.

Ossur Cold Ruch Cold Therapy Hip Pad was used 24/7 for 7days and FELL APART. I reached out to the Ossur company for replacement, and they said I had to go through where I purchased it. Ossur has a six-month warranty policy. I had to continue using this faulty product because I was recovering from total hip replacement and could not wait for replacement. Now that I can return hip pad for replacement Amazon will not honor Ossur's six month warranty policy. Beware if you need to use this product--- buy two because you never know the quality

We’ve used this machine for two surgeries, a total knee and a total hip. Most recently my husbands hip surgery recovery was made much easier with this machine and the specialized hip pad attachment. This machine is so quiet you won’t even hear it running. The hip pad was easily placed on the hip and the Velcro straps held it in place, NO LEAKING! The hospital staff were blown away by the quiet effectiveness. This machine is so worth the money, no regrets at all.
