This notebook cover is very impressive. The leather is a very good quality. It has the right balance of soft and durable. The construction is sturdy and has very clean lines. The Field Book fits in it perfectly and gives it the extra structure for writing on. I’ve been carrying around various different notebooks and notepads for years. I really wish I had known about this a long time ago. This fits perfectly in my pocket and now is with me everywhere I go. I’m using it for more than just work. I’d like to further add that the NarwhalCo 3.35” pen fits nicely in the spine of this notebook cover. It is perfect actually. I’m glad that Amazon suggested it. Now no matter what, I have a notebook and pen on me at all times, never having to remember to grab one or wishing I had. I highly recommend this cover and notebooks with pen.

I just received this yesterday and it is better than expected. It is made of split leather which it the bottom cut which is also called "genuine" leather. That is probably what most men's wallets are made of. If you want a rugged top grain leather with its imperfections and scratches then this is not for you. The leather is perfectly smooth with absolutely no scratches. It does not have that leather smell. If it holds up then it is perfect for me since I did not want the rugged leather look. With one field note book it fits a shirt pocket snuggly. You could add a small pen or a second book to it but that may be too thick for a shirt. I have a bullet space pen which lies at the bottom of my pocket. What I really like is that there are pockets inside that hold the flap of the book. I hate the ones with elastic bands though they may be thinner.

I love the look and feel of the leather. I have the field notes journals but I like to use this with my moleskin journals instead. It fits them perfectly and it’s really convenient to carry in my backpack for jotting down quick notes. The leather is soft and the stitching is immaculately done. I only wish they had this in a saddle/camel color to match my backpack, but this little journal cover is just fine. I will be purchasing another soon.

The leather cover is of quality beyond my expectations and the eight field books will last me a long time. The only thing lacking is a loop to hold a pen on the inside. I carry an EDC organizer which has a pen loop so not a dealbreaker for me. It’s the perfect size to slip into your back pants or jacket pocket. If the lack of a pen loop isn’t an issue for you, you’ll love this! With a pen loop, I’d have given 5 stars.

I am pleased with the product and the price! The leather is soft and finished beautifully. I use it to carry my favorite wire-bound planner booklets, and also use the field book to record notes and ideas. The price is 1/3 of what I would have paid for a leather cover from the planner company! It will fit in my sport coat inside breast pocket, or in the back pocket of my jeans. It’s not too bulky, so it’s comfortable to carry either place.

I am a fan of Field notebooks as I like to carry them when I’m on the go, for jotting down ideas. I like Moleskines too and I carry those when I’m in a research mode, but for just everyday note jotting, the small Field notebooks are great and aren’t a burden to carry, weight-wise. This leather notebook cover provides protection for my Field notebooks and does so in a funky style that echoes the iconic design of all Field products. I carry a Field carpenter’s pencil in the notebook and I’m ready to write down anything that life throws at me.

Wonderful soft leather and immaculate stitching. Takes standard 5.5" by 3.5" 'field books.' The only problem is that the dimensions of the cover in the description are off. There's a picture of the cover in the listing that's labeled as 5.5" high by 3.5" wide. NOT SO. The cover is approx. 6-1/8" high by 4" wide by 1/2" deep. But it's still small enough to drop into a pocket, so I'm happy with it.

I bought this notebook as a alternative to a travelers notebook. I had this for mouth now, and I had no problems with it. The leather on this product is super drible, and I love the different Feld Books you can get for this product.even thought this product don’t come with a pen lupe, the quality is really good. And the prices is prefect for this product.
