Space Saver and Still Protection for Covers and DVDs
I read that some customers received the cases damaged. Having worked in a mail facility, I remember how packages and the items inside could be so easily damaged. I took a chance on the Maxtek CD/DVD cases because I was tired of opening the cases with inserts for the DVDs. I had threw away the original cases. So when I saw Maxtek’s slim design cases I decided to order those. I did select having the Amazon packaging added when I placed my order. When they arrived none were damaged and I ordered a second package of the 100CT, selected the Amazon packaging and again none were damaged. The Amazon boxes are thicker than the package the cases come in, I think that made the difference. I ordered the 50CT to cover the last of my DVDs. I am pleased because the cases protect the DVDs and the covers which slide in under the outer clear plastic. They also close tightly and only take a little strength to open them. I purchased the Lifewit DVD Storage Bags on Amazon, which are sturdy, clear and stackable, so I can easily see the DVDs. They have straps to carry them making it easy to move them onto a shelving unit or if you are moving. Most of all I like the slim design, I did use a Firbon Paper Cutter which I purchased a few years ago from Amazon, to trim the edges of the DVD paper cover inserts, so they nicely fit inside the outer clear plastic case cover. I hope the pictures help. I was able to comfortably fit 75 cases into the Lifewit storage bags. One other thing, sometimes the DVD may come with a insert listing the chapters of the movie or advertising another movie, you can slip that into the cover so it shows on the side with no DVD on it. Reliable
Excellent product. I had only one faulty case of the (approximately) 500 I bought so far.

Good quality, good price
I have bought two boxes of these now. They work well for what I use them for. I like that they are thin and they seem to be very durable. The disc insert is easy enough to slip into the sleeve, and the discs stay put and are easy to remove. I only gave it 4 stars because 2 of the cases in the first box were not usable. The sleeve plastic was not attached on one side, so I couldn't slip in the insert. The rest were in great condition. I haven't gotten through the entire second box yet. So long as the failure rate is similar for the second box, I'll definitely buy a third.

Bumperr tabs
Happy with the quality and quantity. Served my purpose well with all the tabs and plenty left over for future use.

Solid case
These slim cases are solid. I had expected them to be made of cheap plastic, but they are of solid construction. There was no damage to any of the cases inside the box. It was easy to insert the cover art after trimming it. The disk is held in place even if I turn it upside down. The case snaps closed and stayed closed no matter how I handled it. The 7mm case cut the storage space in half. They met all my expectations. I would buy again.

Quadruple your DVD storage space
For the price, these DVD cases can't be beat. I like 7 mm slim cases as well as 14 mm double DVD cases. Both allow you to double the number of DVDs in your collection. With these 7 mm double DVD cases you can quadruple that number. The only problem is there are no clips inside the case for any paperwork. But there is a clear plastic sleeve on the outside to display the contents. You may want to cut the title papers in half to display both DVD contents in the sleeve. The quality of the plastic is good and flexible, even though it is rather thin. But as I said, the purpose of these cases is to maximize space. If you want better protection you might want to stick with conventional cases for any hard to replace DVDs. Still for my purposes, these cases are a great way to store loads of DVDs in a smaller area.

Must have!
Saves so much space! Great product. All my kid's movies fit in a small locker bin. Most of the original cases were sticky, broken and very old, great affordable upgrade. These are the movies we watch all the time. *To get the original dvd slips to fit I cut down the spine then insert them in clear cover. Once in place the cover art doesn't really move and case closes nicely.

Durable Space Savers.
With the Maxtek 7mm Slim Clear Double DVD Cases, I've been able to cut our DVD storage essentially in half. I appreciated the reviews for this item because I really didn't know which way to go. They're not the thick, heavy plastic of DVD case past (even past slim cases that came with, say, an older TV show box set). And yet, they are durable cases that I don't see breaking easily unless one really wanted to break them. I chose these because they hold two discs really well, one on each side. I combined films and their sequels into one case, stored 2-disc editions, and have single discs all in consistently-sized cases now. I thought the clear cases wouldn't be as good as the usual black cases but I actually like the aesthetic look to them. There is not a space for inserts beyond simply putting them in the case with your DVD(s) but with less and less titles being released with inserts perhaps that's not a big issue. When converting DVDs from snapper case, I downloaded some custom artwork at r1db.com for their new slim cases. For others, I used a paper slicer to trim 7mm off the edges of each cover and they all look fine. Obviously, I'm not a "collector" who needs to worry about perfectly intact covers, slipcovers, etc. Well, I was, but I'd rather have a few extra shelves in our living room for family photos than rows of DVDs. So convert your DVD collection to slim cases today and make your blu-ray collection look absolutely thick in comparison! :)

Great for downsizing your collection!
I bought a ton of these as I was downsizing my DVD collection. I used to own over 5,000 movies and have downsized quite a bit. I wanted to shrink my collection down physically by using these cases. They came faster than I expected in the mail and have helped a lot. Just a note, if you are particular about having your covers in the case, you will need to cut them down. I ended up buying a paper trimmer because it was A LOT of cutting!

Quite stiff to open/close, creating fear of future seam snapping.
Quite stiff to open/close, creating fear of future seam snapping. I don't know if this is the same brand as we bought from (as I remember) a Montreal Quebec based company, but these don't snap closed quite so easily, appear to be more solid plastic than easily malleable (which is a concern how long they will last before the seam snaps).
