eddy Water Bottle, 20oz

I recently ordered the CamelBak Eddy Water Bottle which holds 20 ounces of water. I had previously purchased this water bottle at Hy-Vee and loved it so much that when I lost it I had to look for a new one to replace it. Unfortunately, it is no longer sold at Hy-Vee so I had to look elsewhere for it. Convenient and easy to use You can easily carry this water bottle with one finger because of the integrated handle. This size also conveniently fits into a mesh pocket on a backpack for hiking up a mountain or across campus. If you own a carabiner you could easily attach it to a bag or belt to carry. The loop on the handle comes in handy while carrying an armload of things in from the car. It is perfect for driving as it fits nicely in your car’s cup holder. When driving, you don’t have to tip it and take your eyes off the road. You can easily drink from this bottle with one hand. This water bottle is so easy to use that my friend’s nine-month-old baby figured out how to drink from it. Washing This bottle is easy to wash. The straw and bite valve easily remove from the lid for washing. It is dishwasher safe so that makes it even easier to wash! Leak Proof and Sturdy Since you have to bite the valve in order to get water out, it is naturally leak proof. The bite valve also folds down which also keeps the bottle from leaking and helps to keep it clean. This bottle is also very sturdy! As a disorganized and clumsy student, it has been dropped on the bus floor and fallen off my nightstand yet it remains intact. Even after dropping it on the sidewalk it won’t even have a nick on it. It has even survived a trip to Costa Rica and back. Shipping This arrived right on schedule and was exactly what I was looking for! I ordered three different designs, Blue Oxford, Purple Feathers and the Floral Headband. I am absolutely pleased with all of them! Drawbacks I have very few things to say as far as drawbacks are concerned. It has happened that the straw has come out of place after dropping it, but that is easy to fix. In order to fix this, you just need to reach into your bottle, grab it and reattach it. The only other drawback that I have, is that sometimes after reinserting the straw water can get trapped in it so that you can’t suck any out. Again, an easy remedy is to take the straw from the hole, let the excess water drain and reinsert the straw. Others complain that their bottles have grown mold or leaked but I have not experienced these problems. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase!

Awesome bottle! Does not spill and the rubber mouth piece is easy to use and seals every-time. You have to lightly bite the nozzle to open the straw, once you release the pressure it seals back up and will not leak. I have had this for two months now and drink an average of four bottles a day. No problems at all. My co-workers have also started buying these as well due their great looks and my raving review. The three other co-workers that bought one also rave about it. The straw is sturdy enough to penetrate a full bottle of ice and does not stain the color of water additives. The bottle walls are firm and solid like a glass bottle. Its just a great product in a world of bad ones.

I love this water bottle. I have zero spilling and I enjoy that it has a straw in it. I drink much more water when through a straw or in a bottle, so this is great. If you put any fruity powder or anything, however, be sure to really wash it, maybe throw it in a dishwasher after use, because it really holds onto the taste. I just recommend washing it once in a while in the week in general, as you should any bottle, just to keep it clean. Otherwise, it's a great size, looks awesome, feels nice to hold, and the straw is a nice addition. I recommend it.

My daughter takes this to school daily and loves it other than it has leaked all over her backpack multiple times. She has learned to just empty out whatever is left in it before the end of the day to avoid the leakage in the future. The fact that the mouthpiece and straw all come apart easily to clean is most definitely a plus! The design is super cute and girly and for the price we are pleased!

The CamelBak Eddy is a staple in our household. We read some studies that said you drink more if you drink out of a "straw". Well, these water bottles have helped to increase water consumption in our household. I'm not sure that we even use glasses very often and water tends to be the beverage of choice around our household now. I take these to work and as a teacher carrying in lots of bag the little hook makes it that much easier to lug into my classroom each morning. Because it's spill proof I also don't have to worry about knocking it over where I have my computer, iPad, book or other important papers. My son also takes one to school on a daily basis. These fit right into the side pocket of his backpack and they last forever! We keep one in the car and carry one with us wherever we go around the house. These water bottles have helped keep my family hydrated and healthy!

Only type of water bottles that last (until son loses them =/)... had our 1st one for 2 years before my son lost it at school! CamelBak has so many different design options and sizes. We also have gotten a free replacement straw through the company, so it really has been worth the money! As far as the mold that people complain about, I don't like to use them for anything besides water, and sometimes add sports drink powder, but never let it sit in there. We always wash it out and have never had mold problems. I would say this can happen with any sugar drink you leave in any bottle. Keep it clean and it'll last!

I have other camelbak products and purchased two of these for my kids. these are just "okay." The issue we have with them is inside the cap, there is a rubber piece that attaches the straw underneath and the mouth piece on the top. This rubber piece does not come out to wash and air dry. So after just a few weeks, my daughters had discolored on the underside of the rubber piece and it was not possible to clean. We take them apart every evening and cleaned them in the dishwasher. Then let them air dry on a towel. So there is no reason they should get moldy other than poor product design. I did email Camelbak with pictures and they have a great warranty and sent replacement caps. My concern is that these will get moldy also... and there are parts that can't be seen so it's unknown how bad it is. So I gave 3 stars because I wouldn't buy them again. But at the same time they are good water bottles and the company has a good warranty.

This is my favorite water bottle - hands down. I'm now onto my second as my first took a beating and began to leak, but I'll never go for another brand. I previously was a huge Nalgene fan, but the Camelbak is way more convenient. Being able to take a drink hands-free is ridiculously convenient and easily possible due to the 'bite-straw' functionality. For anyone that's in a rush and often has things in their hands, this water bottle can't be beat (unless you get a backpack or helmet, but that's a bit ridiculous, let's be honest). One more note - this water bottle is the perfect size to fit into all cup holders. The .75 L CamelBak is too large for my bike and my car, which is why this is my favorite and I prefer it. Plus, with it holding lesser amounts of water it means I'll be more up and active throughout the work day refilling it.
