Atrika’s Views:- I like my Peek-a-boo book a lot. I love to play the Peek-a-boo game with Caterpillar, Octopus, Tiger, and Dadi. I like to touch and feel bumpy bubbly octopus and my Dadi laughingly says Bunti Bubbli, I also touch Furry cat, fuzzy caterpillar, and sparkly helicopter. Every page of the book is my favorite but the most favorite one is when Mumma says Baby look at, it’s you and I lift the flap and look in the mirror and spot myself and then we both laugh a lot. Mum’s Views:- Our First touch and feel book from Ladybird publication is Peek-a-boo, again Atrika loves the game of Peek-a-boo since she was two months old, So when we introduced her to Peek-a-boo book, in a few minutes she became a fan of the book. She loves the flaps and says peek-a-boo to things in her own language. This big book of Peek-a-boo is divided into 5 sections; like Ocean, Countryside, Animals, Sky, and Family and each set of the category has 4 elements with one hiding behind the flap with one or two touch and feel element in each category, Each element name prefixed with some set of Adjectives like Peek-a-boo a Bumpy, Bubbly Octopus or a Bouncy Bunny Hop which is cute because these are baby-friendly text, even Atrika laughs a lot whenever we say these Adjectives like Bumpppiiiiiiiiii Bubbbbbbbly. The last Page is having a Mirror which I think the USP of the Ladybird series because kids love looking in the mirror. The joy babies get by spotting their reflection in a mirror, also help them, increasing their ability to focus, the touch and feel things helps in the stimulating senses, lifting the flap helps babies in their fine motor skills. This size of the book is big, the boards are very sturdy, but I am not quite happy with the quality of the flaps because Atrika just ripped them off easily but overall she enjoyed the book and she loves touching and feeling the feather part in Cat and Bunny. Its the very first book we bought for our baby.Book is very colourful and pictures are really good.I would really recommend it as the first book for infants. My baby rarely shows interest in touching the textures but she loves looking at the bright pages and the way the flap opens to reveal inside. Mirror on the last page is her main attraction. I bought the book when she was only three months old but even at that age the book held her attention.I am not sure if older babies will find it entertaining as there is no story but its a big hit with infants.I had bought it at a discount rate of 199 and its worth a buy at that rate. Though it wont look much to us because of fewer pages and no meaningful content, babies are really attracted to the colour scheme and peekaboo concept.

* Great Book! My 9 months old baby loves to flip pages and look at the pictures and feel some of the textures provided on each page with hands. * Book is little large in size and heavy but light enough for him to be able to flip the thick pages. * Colors are vibrant and characters in pictures include zebra, giraffe, a car/van, helicopter, caterpillar, a bird, star fish etc. * Total there are 5 hard flip cardboard pages (including outer page in traditional sense this is a 12 page book). * Each large set of pages facing each other have another smaller and lighter flip page that covers one of the the images or reflective glass (on the last page) partially so a curious baby will regular flip these pages, look at pictures and stay busy. * Each page has some English written about the pictures and Peekaboo! * One of the reviewer mentioned that one page is blank and white. That is part of the design as a white cloud behind which helicopter is hidden!. * The quality of printing is excellent but paper could have been little better, especially the pages which are flipped are getting cracked and finally getting torn with repeated use (had to put transparent tape to keep those together). * Book is published by Penguin UK and printed in China in case you want to know where it is made. * MRP sticker says Rs 399 on the book that I got. Overall I will recommend this book for babies less than 2 years of age.

It was fun way to introduce your baby with books like this. The quality of the book is good very well illustrated pictures. Simple patterns, colourful and shapes that are easy for babies to focus on and engage with. But I do feel that packaging could have been better.

Really cool and vibrant pictures. But front page's edge started coming off with few handlings only. So, I am deducting one star. Also, they could have added some more textures in the images. Overall, a good buy!

I had bought this book before for my first born about two years ago. He ended up tearing some pages, but since he quite liked the book we decided to buy it again for our second born. It is fun to find what is underneath as one lifts the flap. The textures are same as in the previous version, but in this version the textures are very small sized, whereas in the past version they much bigger and thus more distinct. I clearly remeber the big Zebra printed on the cover in black and white where one could feel the soft silk-like texture of the black colour. My baby was instantly attracted towards the book because of that Zebra. Also what disappointed me quite a bit about this version is how the animals look like cartoon figures and a tiger looks more like a cat and the Zebra is all multicolored. The colors were also more vibrant in the previous version than in the current one where they have now opted for pastel colours. Personally, I feel babies are more attracted to bright colours as the contrast is high. Also, it was more fun to see the tiger tail hidden in the flap part of the book vs now where is just a small cat-like figure on a single page. I feel it was now fun to play peekaboo with the previous version. Not so happy with the purchase.

I very much enjoyed this book with my first son. I explored it with him as he discovered different ways of engaging with the book as he went through his milestones. Now, through my second son, it is as though we are visiting an old friend...

Ciao, ho comprato questo libro, utile al tummy time della mia piccola. Da subito è stata attratta dai colori e dai rilievi del libro. In effetti ogni pagina ha dei rilievi e dei tessuti diversi per dare un'esperienza tattile ai bambini. La nuvola è soffice, poi c'è una cosa ruvida ecc... Una bella idea, lo consiglio per stimolare i vostri bambini durante i loro tummy time. Questo libro è uno di una serie, trovo che questo sia quello più avanzato rispetto agli altri 2 che abbiamo, quindi vi consiglio di prendere prima gli altri. Grazie. Spero che la mia esperienza possa esserti utile.
