Highly recommend this purchase
I bought this 48-pack of Amazon Basics AA batteries for a mix of household devices—remote controls, wireless mice, kids' toys, and a digital clock. After three months of use, I’m thoroughly impressed with the performance. Pros: - Price per battery is unbeatable compared to big-name brands. You get 48 cells for what you’d normally pay for 24. - Longevity is solid. In a high-drain wireless mouse, they lasted about 40% longer than a store-brand economy pack I tried before. - Shelf life is real: I still have a sealed pack from a year ago that shows full voltage when tested. - No leakage so far, even in devices left on for weeks. Cons: - Not rechargeable—so for heavy-use gadgets like game controllers, you might want to rechargeables. These are best for moderate-use or backup items. - Packaging can be tough to open; you’ll need scissors to get the first few out. Overall: If you need a bulk supply of reliable, long-lasting alkaline batteries without paying a premium, this is the best deal on Amazon. I’ve recommended it to family and will buy again.

No Duds. Solid Quality. Go-To Brand.
6 Stars. I have never - ever - had an issue with Amazon Basics batteries. And the fact there are no duds and they hold their juice for a long time, enables me to buy a 48-pack with the confidence that they'll be good to the last battery. I keep them in a resealable bag in a garage fridge with all my other batteries. Maybe they're fresh and far from their expiration because they sell such high volumes and turn over their inventory. Or maybe they sell so much inventory because the price is right and there are no/few duds. For what it's worth, I've bought batteries from a national brick and mortar electronics chain and if you open the package and get duds, you can't return them. I bought in order to replenish my wildlife cameras; that's 8 batteries per camera for several cameras once a year. Not including remote controls, etc. Why should I have to buy batteries twice? Why should I have to make a career out of this? I don't need the stress their friction-point policies impose. Now, I can see how folks would return them for a refund but put old batteries in the open package and thereby get free batteries. I get it and it ticks me off that they ruin it for the rest of us. But if you open the package and get duds, you cannot be issued a refund for this very reason. This happened to me twice, that is on two occasions I bought batteries at this chain and they were duds. The second time I refused to take no for an answer for a refund and escalated it up and down the store's hierarchy until I got to a decision maker who could override the policy. But by that time, the damage was done. What ever happened to considering future cash flows from a customer? It wasn't the money; it was the principle that my money wasn't a dud so the product I receive in exchange shouldn't be either. Do you think I've bought batteries there since? Nope. Has it given me less reason to walk into their store and buy anything at all? Yep, 100% actually. No more meandering walks to see what's in store. No more impulse buys. I'll keep buying these. They're so solid. Problem solved.

Great value for the price
Grabbed these during the Prime sale earlier this month. 48 AA batteries for what I paid was honestly a steal compared to what you’d pay for name-brand batteries in packs of 8 or 16 at the store. I’ve been running through a good chunk of the box already — some in my kids’ toys, a few in TV remotes, a couple in a wireless mouse, and even some in a flashlight I keep in the garage. So far every single one has worked right out of the pack, no duds. Voltage seems consistent too (I checked a few with a multimeter out of curiosity, and they were all right around 1.5V I can’t speak to the 10-year shelf life yet for obvious reasons, but Amazon Basics batteries have a decent track record in my experience, so I’m not too worried about leakage down the line. I’ll update this review if anything changes, but for now these are exactly what I needed — reliable batteries in bulk without paying Duracell prices. Just remember these are single-use, not rechargeable, so don’t go tossing them on a charger like I almost did out of habit. Would buy again.

The Battery Pack That Says “I Have My Life Together” (I Don’t)
I bought the Amazon Basics 48-pack AA “High-Performance” batteries because I wanted to stop living like a raccoon—scavenging half-dead AAs from junk drawers and blaming “the device” like the device is being dramatic. These show up and immediately give you the energy of a person who owns a label maker. I became insufferable for ten minutes. Let’s talk about that phrase: “High-Performance.” The audacity. It’s an AA battery. It’s not training for a triathlon. But I’ll admit it—these things perform. I put them in an Xbox controller and suddenly I’m playing like I’m sponsored. I tossed a couple into a flashlight and it turned on with the confidence of a guy who says “I got it” while carrying a couch up stairs. The real feature here is the 48-pack. Forty-eight is not a number you buy casually. Forty-eight says, “I’ve accepted that my home contains toys that beep, a clock that lies, and at least one device that only dies when guests are over.” It’s also the perfect amount to feel prepared for an emergency you’ll never actually prepare for. I slid the box into a cabinet and immediately felt ready for a blackout, a hurricane, or my kid discovering the sound effects button on a singing plush animal. They claim a 10-year leak-free shelf life, which is basically Amazon telling you, “Go ahead. Forget about these. You’ll find them in 2036 and they’ll still be fine.” That’s a bold promise, but honestly? I believe it, because these come in that Frustration-Free Packaging that opens like a normal human object. No plastic clamshell that requires bolt cutters and a tetanus shot. At 2AM, I tore it open, heard that crisp cardboard rip, and felt something close to peace. Important note: they’re not rechargeable. And I appreciate how blunt that line is—no flirting, no “maybe if you believe.” Just: Single use. Do not try to give these a second chance. Which is fair. These are the batteries you keep for the stuff you need to work now, not the batteries you put on a charger and then forget for three weeks next to your emotional support cables. Bottom line: if you’re constantly feeding batteries to controllers, toys, flashlights, clocks, and whatever mystery device your house has that only takes AA’s out of spite, this pack is the move. If you’re an “I recharge everything” person, you’ll look at these like they’re a fossil. Pros: - 48-pack means you stop playing “which remote is worth saving” at 11PM - Works across the usual AA battery zoo: controllers, toys, flashlights, cameras, clocks, etc. - 10-year shelf life is perfect for emergency kits and procrastinators - Packaging opens without turning your kitchen into a crime scene - Reliable performance (aka: things turn on and stay on, which is all we ask) Cons: - Not rechargeable — these are a one-and-done relationship - “High-Performance” is hilarious marketing for something that lives in a drawer - If you buy 48, you will briefly feel superior to everyone you know (side effect) Best for: People with kids, game controllers, flashlights, emergency kits, or a household that runs on AA-powered chaos. Not for: Rechargeable-only purists who treat disposable batteries like a personal moral failing. Summary: A 48-pack of calm, competent little power cylinders—because your house deserves better than the half-dead AA you found rolling around with a paperclip and a Lego.

Reliable Batteries That Just Keep Working
I’ve been buying these Amazon Basics AA batteries for years, and according to my Amazon purchase history, I’ve ordered them over 60 times. That alone should tell you how satisfied I am with them. These batteries provide consistent performance and last a surprisingly long time in everyday household devices. I use them in everything from remote controls and flashlights to clocks, wireless keyboards, and other electronics around the house. They hold their power well and don’t seem to drain quickly when stored. I also appreciate the value. Buying in bulk saves money compared to purchasing smaller packs at local stores, and I always like having extras on hand when something unexpectedly needs new batteries. Are they the absolute longest-lasting batteries on the market? Maybe not. But for the price, reliability, and convenience, they are hard to beat. After more than 60 purchases, I can confidently say these have become my go-to batteries.

Excellent Value and long lasting performance
I’ve purchased these Amazon Basics AA batteries several times, and they continue to be a great value. The price is lower than many name-brand batteries, yet the performance has been excellent. The batteries last a long time in everyday devices like TV remotes, wireless mice, clocks, and toys. I also appreciate the 10-year shelf life because I can buy them in bulk and always have extras on hand without worrying about them losing their charge. If you’re looking for dependable AA batteries at a reasonable price, these are definitely worth buying. Great quality, long-lasting power, and an outstanding value for the money.

This Batteries Are Superb....
Writing this review after Using it. This are really excellent batteries. I'm using it in the BP Monitoring Machine. Daily I check my mother's BP 4 times a day. That BP machine needs 4 batteries in it. Very amazingly, this 4 batteries have lasts literally for 4 months of regular use. whereas previously I also used normal regular batteries in it, which lasts maximum for 8-9 days. Totally value for money product. 👌👌😊
