Works like magic!
FINALLY got around to plugging this in and love it! We use it for the lights on our bearded dragon enclosure and it makes things so much easier. We set the time to turn on the basking light and uvb light at 7am and off at 7pm and it works like magic. Especially helpful on the days we want to sleep in. Also apreciate the added section of always on outlets that we use to plug in the nighttime heat lamp on the nights it gets too cold. Overall I would definitely recommend this product.

Great for seed starting
Love this- one side can be on a timer and one side can be continuously on. I use this for seedlings so I have the heating pad constantly on and the lights on a timer. Super easy to use and works great!

This product might outlive your reptile.
Just had to buy a replacement after my first one lasted 8 and a half years!!! The outlets still work, but the timer crapped out. This was a very reliable product and worked great for my terrarium. Hoping to squeeze at least 8 more years out of the next one.

Perfect for a lot of uses, especially a daylight cycle for plants, fishtanks, reptile enclosures
UPDATE: I bought my first one of these in May 2016; right around one year later it started making a really annoying constant clicking/grinding sound. It still works fine, just produces a very annoying noise. I noted in my original review that it made a soft sound before that most people didn't seem to hear at all; that sound is now a loud clicking that everybody in the room can definitely hear. The unit's in my bedroom so it's not a huge problem, but I probably do need to replace it; I have my computer desk in there and when I do any real amount of work in that room the noise gets pretty irritating if I don't drown the sound out with music or something. That was an older model, and this unit has since been updated; I ordered a second one in December 2016, and that one has labels on the lights so you know which side are the timed outlets, which is a great change. I also haven't had any trouble with that one suddenly making any sounds or anything else like that, but it hasn't been running as long, and it does make the same faint noise, so I'm a bit worried it'll eventually get loud, too. I think the problem is that the actual timing mechanism is manual, so it ticks faintly like a manual clock arm. I might look for a unit that has a digital control instead, to see if that works a bit better. Both of my units are controlling lights and misters for gecko enclosures, but are not placed where they can be exposed to moisture or anything else that might cause them problems, and only a maximum of half the plugs on any one unit are in use (I have gecko tanks in two separate locations in my house). I do still like these overall, but I wish the one hadn't had problems after only a year. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Using this for controlling lights/mister on a gecko terrarium and I'm loving it so far. (The mister is on its own independent built-in timer also, so the power strip is mostly controlling the lights.) I did have to read the instructions to figure out how to set the timer, but it wasn't too tough, and the included instructions are good. Here's what I especially love about this particular model, as opposed to the other outlet timer I have to control my other gecko terrarium devices: * Has a extension cable and you can wall-mount it. My other one is a small unit that plugs right into the outlet, and it's much more difficult to get to and reset, especially since it has a digital screen you have to be looking at pretty much dead on. This one I was able to mount at a nice height right on the wall, and since it's white against a white wall it's not very noticeable at all. (A similar one designed specifically for use with reptile equipment is incredibly bright green, so I like this option a lot better.) * Has both timed and untimed strips. I have this mounted next to the bookshelf my two smaller gecko enclosures are sitting on, and I can also plug in electronics to sit on my desk nearby, and some lamps I've mounted to the bookshelf itself (for the shelves that have actual books :D). So it's good for a lot of different things, not just the one or two devices you might want on a timer. * If you happen to not have anything you need timed at the moment, you can flip a switch on the side to turn the timed outlets to just be on and boom, you've got a regular power strip. This would be great for like if you're going away on vacation for awhile and want to plug some of your lamps into a timer to make it look like people are still coming and going to deter burglars. Just set up your lamps and whatnot for the timer, then when you get home, flick the switch to "constantly on" again and control your lamps manually. It'll also allow you to just turn your devices on the timer side on without having to reset your timer or anything, and then be able to flick it right back into timed mode. Really handy. * Seriously though the timer features are great for SO MANY THINGS. I would've loved to have this when I owned a fishtank.... put the filter in the always-on side, control the lights with the timer, etc. Would be awesome for controlling indoor grow lights for your herb garden or anything really where you might want to control lights specifically to a daylight cycle. I keep an odd schedule sometimes and this has been GREAT for giving my pet geckos a really consistent day/night lighting cycle. Cons: * Makes a very soft sound when it's turned on. This might not be a problem for everybody, several people I've asked can't even hear it, but when it's really quiet at night it can bug me a little because it's audible. Definitely wouldn't want to have it right next to my bed or anything. I'm super sensitive to electronic noises though, I can also hear the power packs on my phone and bedside clock making faint whining sounds a lot of the time and it's not awesome. But I don't know that there's anything the manufacturers can do about that either, and there's a good chance you won't ever even be able to hear it, so. * Wish it had actual labels beneath the lights to remind me which side is timed and which is untimed, because I always forget, but it's an easy fix; I just made my own with a labelwriter and slapped them on there, there's a nice space for it. (Update: The company has since revamped this power strip a little, and it now has labels for which side are the timed plugs, just as you see now in the updated pictures. Awesome.) * All four timed plugs run off a single timer, so if you need varying timed schedules, this won't work unless some of the stuff you're plugging in has its own timer. For me the pros REALLY outweigh the cons with this one; I absolutely love it and couldn't be happier with it. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review, but I actually use my products before reviewing them and I'm pretty religious about coming back to update my reviews if I experience any problems or anything down the line.

Timer For Reptile Lighting
Purchased this for my Bearded Dragons lighting setup. Have (1) Uvb Linear, (2) Basking Bulbs, & (1) LED lighting and has been a total game changer instead of turning my lights on and off manually everything is set to the timer. 6 months and no issues whatsoever! A+++

They took a great product and turned it into trash, do not recommend.. it is very cheap now.
Trash from what they used to be. I have purchased 10 of these over a couple year span. I ordered two more and guess what, they made them as cheap as hell now. 2/3 the size, smaller overall, smaller dial, less space between plugs. And guess what, the only thing changed is the picture on the ad on amazon and I did not notice when I ordered. Why would I check the picture when I have already bought 10? I may return these as they are pretty much useless for my operation. Thanks so much for taking a great product abd turning it into trash and selling it for the same $$... slimey move people. You can have them back, they certainly are not worth $19 each. UPDATE: I went directly to thier website. BN-LINK and they had the older, larger version listed in the pic. So I ordered 2. Much to my dismay after waiting a week for shipment, the list the pic of the older, larger verion and send me the smaller "updated" version. We went back and forth over a couple days. They basically said... oh well. Then they want me to pay for return shipping. Warning, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere for a much better make. The power strip sent was not the one pictured that I ordered. I have many of them I have ordered over the years. The picture on the website was not the same as what was sent, The one sent has same model number but it smaller. Please advise. 12:36 Customer Support: Thanks for your message! Thank you for your understanding! 12:47 You sent: Apparently the product was updated since i last ordered one. I ordered a couple from Amazon and when I received them I saw they had changed so I came directly to your website and your picture shows the larger style like I have purchased before. 12:48 You sent: Attached image 12:50 You sent: That is what came 12:50 You sent:Attached image 12:51 You sent: The style I have purchased many times and the style your website shows so I bought two only to get the smaller ones. 12:52 You sent: The unit is now smaller overall so consequently the plugs are closer together and that can cause issues in my application. 12:54 You sent: Still with me? 12:57 Customer Support: We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. We recently updated our product, and the device you received is the new version of our U1 Surge Protector. Thank you! 12:31 You sent: Ok, I will start again. Your web site shows the older model. I came to your website because your showed the older model and that is what I needed. I need the older, larger version. If you do not have the older version then I may not be able to use these because they are smaller...... which is the reason I started the chat. Please advise..... 12:38 Customer Support: Could you please send us a photo of the actual device you received? Thank you! 14:12 You sent: I received the updated version - the smaller one. The one I thought I was ordering was the older version - bigger one. For my application, I need the older version - larger one to be able to fit the plugs I am using. The updated one is smaller and not as much room between plugs. 14:28 You sent: Your website displays the older version- larger one which is why I ordered from you. 14:29 You sent: I submitted the pictures above 14:30 Customer Support: A s the device has already been updated, the website may still display the old version. We apologize, but we no longer carry the previous version. 14:34 You sent: Then what do I do to return these two I purchased. 15:33 Customer Support: You may return the items as long as they are in their original packaging, undamaged, and in good condition. I will also submit a claim to department of consumer protection because of the misleading ad showing the old larger, better made style while shipping the smaller cheaper style one. Due to the deceptive ad I should not be responsible for shipping fees. Have a good day. NO RESPONSE

Great Timer for Terrarium!
This has been working well for my Uromastyx enclosure! 9am to 9pm I wanted the UVB and heat basking bulbs to be on and automatically turn off after 9pm. Works as it should, no weird inconsistenties as of yet. This will hopefully save my bulbs as well for surges. EDIT: I've had this for about a month or so and I've been noticing that at 5pm it decides the knotch on the dial decides to turn off, I don't know why but that has been happening and I've been trying to correct it. Sometimes it chuggs along just fine. Sometimes it shuts the terrarium off for a good 5 minutes because it decided to flip itself off. Quite annoying but it's very minor, still works great and my Uros lighting is self sufficient, which is awesome.

It saves me electricity and manual NO app to download.
I have tested it for 2 weeks now and it works fine. I like this item because it's not connected to my smartphone. I can change the settings as i wish manually. I also bought the smaller ones from the series. They do make a difference in my electrical bill.
