It’s a good file for sharpening old saws.
This file cuts well but is not aggressive so it doesn’t eat large amounts of metal on each pass which would result in damaging the teeth. The taper makes it easy to get into my finer tooth crosscut saws.

A nice file at a reasonable price.
I'm very suspicious of low cost tools but this item pleasantly surprised me. Cuts well in both wood (primarly use) and aluminum. It's an aggressive cut. I'm not sure how well it would hold up cutting steel.

Perfect for Japanese saws
So far this has held up well and done a good job sharpening my Japanese saws. The only issue I’ve had is the file coming out of the handle, a drop of super glue solved that and I have not had any issues since.

Good Basic Pruning Saw File

So Far So Good
Bought this to sharpen 2 pruning saws and I may be able to find more applications for it. It is sturdy and seems well made. Have no idea of the brand/company who makes it and imagine it is straight from China, but so far so good.

Nice tool that gets the job done. Doesn't seem to break easily or be worn down. Exactly what was needed to sharpen an old saw.

It works
Found out I can over-sharpen a brushing saw. With ANY downward force, I cannot pull the saw through a branch. I may need to dig some roots still in the dirt!

A good little tool
A good little tool. I have just sharpened my tree saw with it and it really makes a difference. saved me £30 on a new one!!

Took a month to arrive
File was a bit coarser than i wanted but will do.. The packaging it came in had a terrible smell like super charged moth balls. I can still smell it a week later in my basement.
