Clearly Colorful Translucent Harmonica, Green

Both of my children enjoy their harmonica! It’s great for little hands and mouths and is tough enough for them as well!

I have been playing harmonicas for 55 years. I specialize in blues-harmonica. Considering the price of these Hohner "Clearly Colorful" harmonicas which are only available in the key off C, these are super-excellent for accompanying a blues-guitarist playing in the key of G. Buy these, because these are absolutely genuine musical instruments.

This was a gift for my children. They loved it and I really like the fact that I can get a different color for them so they won't put all of them in their mouth. They are nice, but I'm afraid the plastic cover is going to get ripped off.

Great sound, fun colour for a toddler.

Everything else my 5yr old Grandson received for his birthday was pushed aside when he opened this up. For two solid weeks, it never left his side. I couldn't believe what a nice instrument this is for the money. What a great way to introduce kids to a musical instrument. Given the cost of typical junk party favors kids receive at parties nowadays, what a great party favor these would make.

The harmonica comes with its own plastic sleeve for safe keeping, and is well tuned and produces a sound with little to no effort. Construction wise, it is pretty solid. It is plastic, but it's thick enough that it won't break if you were to drop it or put it in a backpack where it'll get beaten up a little. It didn't pass the kid test, as he is frightened of the sounds it makes. He's less then a year old though, and I didn't buy it for him to play with. Got it as a noise that would distract him while he's crying as he likes musical sounding things. Let's just say that plan backfired.

I'm sorry I accidently reviewed the wrong product before and couldn't figure out how to delete it. The harmonica is cute and great for my classroom. I love the color because it will not get lost and the kids will always know it's mine. Other teachers have the silver ones. It did arrive cracked due to poor packaging but it still works and for $5 it's not worth returning it if it works.

It is exactly what I expected--a fancy looking toy. The bottom end blow is fairly easy to play. The top end takes a lot of wind, and there are a substantial leaks on the draw. I might see what a glue gun will do for it!

This is a wonderful product and what I write here applies to all the different colors that this model is available in. It's a Hohner in the true sense, the notes are in perfect tune. It's a very good instrument for a child. Yes, it's slightly delicate and without supervision, the child might damage it but then, it's a musical instrument and should not be banged about. With supervision, the child might find a life's passion through this. For grown ups too, it's a cheap and fun instrument to carry and play.
