This envelope is the perfect thickness and provides great security for payment/mail that is being sent. The envelopes come in a heavy cardboard box so they arrived in perfect condition and are able to be stored/stacked easily. The adhesive is strong and sticks very well, These envelopes also have security tamper evident slits so if anyone attempted to open it the receiver would know. I am very pleased with these envelopes and will order again! Great product & shipped very well! Better than I get from local office supply and a better value!

I have only used about 20 envelopes of this lot so far. It takes me about a year to use 500 envelopes. No serious disappointments yet in the first 20. The self-seal adhesive is a thin line but is amazingly strong. I only did a quick random inspection upon delivery to evaluate integrity of about 15 of them and in that inspection, the other glued seams and flaps appear well placed and securely glued. These don't feel exactly like 24 pound paper but they do certainly feel thicker than 20 pound printer paper. I did discover that when wetted slightly by a light rain during the time it took to transfer an envelope from hand to mailbox, the security print showed through. Uh-oh. I thought this was a reason to ding down a star in the review Nope. To test, I wetted a couple of Columbian (Mead) #10 Grip-Seal Security envelopes and the tint showed through on them just as much as these Spark-Ink branded envelopes. I only gave 4 stars because I just don't like to give 5 stars to anything. It just seems facetious. There is only one thing--that I'm not entirely sold on--and that is the "security" perforation scheme on the flap that is designed to show that the envelope has been tampered with. I would rather that be eliminated. I think that those diagonal slits weaken the flap and to tell you the truth, using a hair dryer to heat the flap, you can open and close it and no one would be the wiser. You can heat most any pressure sensitive adhesive to weaken it. I guess that wet-glue envelopes show tampering more readily because the paper wilts and deforms with the application of steam. (I wish we could just put a dye bomb in the envelope or something (ha-ha).)

Seldom use snail mail so this order will last me a long time. Sheerness of envelope is sufficient so that I do not need to add a sheet of paper to conceal a check. Adhesive is good but stops a few millimeters short on each side. This is a design issue not the supplier's fault. Gets the job done! If you are concerned, add a tab of scotch tape on both sides. I do not.

In this time of covid-19, it's wonderful to be able to order a product online, and be very satisfied! This product is very good quality...the paper, the self-adhesion, and the privacy factor. The value of 4 cents per envelope is a great value. The envelopes come in a sturdy box that make storage easy and accessible. I would highly recommend supporting this small, family-run business with a great product!

These are the only security envelopes I’ve found that are not see through. So many others I’ve tried reveal the contents when held up to light. I always have to add paper to obscure the print. What a waste! Not these! They are truly security envelopes. Also, unlike competitors, the glue actually sticks. No need to add tape to seal the envelope. I use these for business so security is essential. I highly recommend them.

Bought these for small business & personal use. I thought the price was good for an envelope I don’t have to lick and we use a lot of envelopes. They are heavy duty. No peeking through these. The only down side, which I actually found not to be a big deal, is the glue that seals the envelope likes to stick to the strip that covers it. I’ve used a few and found that by tearing the strip off slowly and carefully the glue strip stays on the envelope. The glue is a pretty thin strip, but it sticks tight. Was not afraid at all that the flap would come opened. I thought I had read one review that didn’t like that the glue strip didn’t run the whole length of the flap. I’ve never had an envelope that did. So far I am satisfied & would purchase again. Will update if I have more issues with the glue sticking to the pull strip as I get deeper into the box.

It seems that products I've ordered and used pre-pandemic are just not the same quality post-pandemic. That experience isn't limited to envelopes but ranges from sunglasses to clothing to paper. Forget all the (understandable) issues creating delays with product receipt. I'm talking about the actual product. I typically read at least half a dozen written reviews by RECENT purchasers whenever I'm eyeballing a new product. Unfortunately, even a review written only month prior to my contemplated purchase isn't enough these days to ensure that I actually receive the same quality. These envelopes, however, are the exception. The adhesion is quality and they are, indeed, NOT see-through. I'm a small business (as in one-person operation) and my need to snail-mail diminishes daily, however, I was sick of running out of envelopes only to buy more and discover I had gotten CRAPPOLA. So I ordered these, not appreciating that 500 is a LOT of envelopes and requires a place to store excess. That is my ONLY complaint, and that has nothing to do with the quality of the product.

To my surprise these really were worth the wait. If you can afford the higher price, it's a no brainer. I haven't seen better. I'm picky about my business envelopes, been through so many different kinds. These deliver. -They STICK. That's my #1 concern. Most others barely seal if it all. -Good paper weight. Not cheap thin paper. -Security works, hides sensitive info -Sliced flap works, they are actually a pain to open. -The inside corners behind the flap aren't flimsy/open and don't catch the paper you're trying to insert. I actually waited a month on backorder to get these in hopes I'd finally found a good envelope again after the last maker I used to buy cheaped out on "new and improved".
