I am unable to pair devices on home assistant, any idea!

I just received one of these and a pair of innr bulbs to dabble with home automation and Home Assistant. Was having the same problem. The fix for me was to follow the manufacturer's advice and connect the dongle via a USB extension lead. I thought attaching it to a front USB port would minimise interference from the computer but I was wrong. The bulbs paired flawlessly once the dongle was away from the computer. The extension lead I used is about 1m long.

Does it works with aqara hubs

You dont need an Aqara Hub if you have a ConBee II. Our device makes other hubs irrelevant.

Normally when pairing a new hue device to the hue hub, you have to press a button on the hub for security. how does the usb hub deal with this?

The software you install with this device, called phoscon, has a user interface (UI) and you select in the UI to put it in pairing mode.

Does it work with zigbee2mqtt and/or HomeAssistant?

yes definitely does. I used this with both homeassistant zha and zigbee2mqtt. Take a look at the Sonoff zigbee 3 adapter too.
