Great for beginners
Easy to understand from english to german since english is a germanic language.

Comprehensive travel vocabulary
Hearing the dialogues in addition to the written text is an excellent way to learn the language. The book also gives pronunciation assistance, cultural tips, and additional vocabulary not used in the exercises. I'm enjoying learning the language and feel confident in my new vocabulary. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that there is about 10 seconds of traditional music at the start of each 2 to 3 minute lessons. It gets very old having to listen to the same oom pah pah music every few minutes instead of focusing on the lesson.

The disc is clean and it plays well when I put it on my xbox. I really like how the book is structured and it easy to find which chapters you are in. Plus I like the 5 in 1 books combination to save room in my bookcase.

this is an excellent way for an indivdual to learn german on their own at their own rate
the book offers phoenetic spellings to help with pronounciaiton, chapters organzied by topics like going shopping, and a cd that offers a way to hear how words are spoken by a German related to specific chapters in the book. it also offers indepth grammar that is really pretty comprehensive and starts with the basic rules. Lastly it also offers common expressions and "false friends" - words that are the same in the two languages but have different meanings.

Useful for German fanatics
I love this books so much. It has helped me in understanding the German Language. It has a lot of tips and tricks.

Not the best experience.
But disappointed. The book is clearly not brand new as the front page is folded and some scratch marks observable on the front page. The book is okayish in terms of helping ordinary people learning a new language. Can be organised in a better manner tho.

Good, but…
Book is good and explanations are easy to understand. But I thought there would be activities that we can solve in it. It only explains the rules so you’ll need another book to make practice.
