Using it for my dog who gets a lot of eye infections due to chronic dry eye. As far as I can tell, it helped just as much or more than the prescription drugs he's been on without as many side effects. I put some in my eyes for a few days to be sure it didn't hurt and I figured it's good for me anyway. There is a very mild sting when it first hits your eye, kind of like opening your eyes under water. I'd give it a try. I've also had terrific success with the Similasan products. I give my dog the one for dry eye, but I know there is one that is good for pink eye as well.

YES! In less than 24 hours...pink eye gone! I used the drops every 15 minutes at first then every hour, etc

Would this help with my dogs scratching and licking?

I would say it depends why they are scratching and licking. It does help with hot spots and some skin allergies. I was just going to give this a try for my dogs skin, and my cats eye infections and respiratory infections.
