Handled My Wicked Ridge Crossbow Bolts Better Than Expected
I picked this up mainly for use with my Wicked Ridge crossbow, and honestly I’ve been pretty impressed with how well it’s handled the bolts so far.One thing I was worried about was whether it would stop higher-speed crossbow shots cleanly without excessive pass-through risk or tearing the target apart too quickly. So far it’s been holding up much better than expected.Bolt removal has also been fairly manageable compared to some targets that feel like you’re trying to pull arrows out of reinforced concrete. 😄 It still grips firmly enough to stop shots properly, but it hasn’t been a miserable fight getting bolts back out afterward.I also like the variety of target options on the sides. The traditional bullseyes are useful for sighting work and consistency practice, while the deer vitals and game-style targets help keep practice a little more interesting. The cube shape is nice too because you can rotate sides and spread wear around instead of destroying one single target face immediately. The target itself feels reasonably sturdy and held together well during repeated use. Obviously any high-FPS crossbow setup is eventually going to wear targets down over time, but this one seems to be handling crossbow abuse better than some cheaper bag targets I’ve used before.Overall, this has been a solid target for crossbow practice and worked especially well with my Wicked Ridge setup.

Stopped the bolts, fun target.
Picture is from 10yards with new scope just put on. “Ignore the shot placement.” The bolt fletching never came in contact with the bag, and they were easy to pull out. Rarely it was tough to pull, but that was due to the kinetic energy and heat which was visible on the tip on the bolt. This target is great and worked well for my setup. I shot my killer instinct fuel 415fps and it stopped the bolts no problem. Saw a lot of people worried the rates Fps was a lie but turned out great, as well as I don’t believe compound bows or crossbows really shoot there advertised Fps unless you go with the light crappy arrows they send anyways (just my opinion).*This target is not meant for broad heads* really wish it could handle them , I like to shoot broadheads when sighting in , to make sure flight path is somewhat the same. The overall material seems durable , but wouldn’t recommend leaving outside exposed. Seems like it wouldn’t take much for it to become heavily weathered.Would definitely buy again.Good luck and stay safe out there.

Just Buy It!
Awesome archery target. Yes, it's heavy, but it needs to be heavy. It's in my backyard and very fun to shoot at with my single compound bow!
User
Excellent quality target.
I bought this for a gift for best friend after also giving him the finest crossbow pistol in all the land— the Ballista Bat. I am rating this target highly and getting another one for myself soon because unlike my current crossbow target, this one stops arrows well but they are easier to remove and the tips don’t break off. The price of this one is better, too.

Hesitant at first, but glad I got it
As a newbie crossbow enthusiast, I was a bit apprehensive about spending this much on a target. But, some preliminary research seemed to indicate a hay bale may not be the best choice for a fairly powerful CB, so I didn't see too many options. Pulled the trigger (did you see what I did there :-) ), and the benefits of having this special-use target become obvious; just a few:- it's portable, take it where you need to. Granted it is a bit heavy, but the built in straps seem strong and work well; can't do that with a bale of hay- stops my bolts without a problem, usually leaving a little under half of the shaft exposed for easy retrievalI'm leaving off one star just because I don't know about longevity, since I've only had it short time and put maybe 50 bolts in it, and I'm not sure about how well the target colors will hold up over time. I'll update this review, if needed, when I've had more experience with it.For now though, I'm a happy camper.

Sweet!
Curve bow. Super easy to twist out arrows as said in reviews. Tested the block out and it was excellent upon impact of the arrows. Material intact, strong and most importantly.. FUN as ever to hit the tagets! Tried the nine ball and dart board! Hope Morell makes more targets like these with multi faces to have fun with family and friends. The sound upon impact was acceptable too. Love it hands down and would definitely buy more blocks like this! Worth the price!

Great for practice shooting
Works well at close range, great product after a few years might need another. Holds up great so far but don’t aim for the same spot twice, bolt will go almost all the way in.

The best archery target I have ever used
I don't write a lot of reviews on Amazon, but I had to let everyone know about this target. I shot a lot of 3D archery tournaments in the past, and I have owned a lot of archery targets over the years. Bows have gotten faster over the years, and shooting over 330 FPS is a reality now, when 10 years ago, you were lucky to shoot 250 FPS.My previous targets were around the same size as this target, but the material used internally was much different. My old targets would either have material that wouldn't do a good job at stopping fast arrows and the arrows would burry themselves all the way up to the fletching, and sometimes go through the target. I bought some heavy duty targets that would stop fast arrows, but the material holds the arrows so tightly that you would almost get a hernia trying to remove them. It would also require a narrow puller sometimes to get them out.The Bone Collector target changed all that. My current bow blasts arrows at around 345 FPS. This target not only stops the arrows with ease, but you can pull out your arrows with just two fingers. My four year old son can easily pull my arrows out with little effort. The multiple target types on the sides of the cubes are very nice and keep you from getting bored from shooting the same picture. I have also found that putting some colored stickers on the target he as red dots that are 1" in diameter make for excellent small targets to shoot at to improve your accuracy. This target is fantastic and it is by far my most favorite target I have ever shot.

Awesome initial impressions!
While the item Description says that this is the Bone Collector 400FPS target, which is usually meant for crossbows, what you actually get is a Morrell 400FPS Double Duty target meant for both crossbows and compounds (the picture for the item is correct). I have so far shot 50-60 arrows into this target from distances between 10 and 40 meters using a compound bow set to 29"@52lbs. None of the arrows got past the center of the target. Arrows easily come out when pulled with just two fingers and the target doesn't seem to get beaten up much at all.I shot these exact same arrows at a range recently with a foam wall and could barely pull those arrows out with both of my hands, let alone two fingers, so whatever they did with this target seems to really work - gracefully stop the arrows and make them easy to remove. So far, highly recommended! I'll update my review if this target dies prematurely for some reason, but so far I have high hopes for it!

The Bone Collector 400 F.P.S. Cross Bow Target Review
Arrows were shot with a Barnett Ghost 410 crossbow at 19 1/2 feet due to in door distance limitation. With each test the same arrow was shot twice and measurements of the protruding nock to target distance taken. Each shot was in an unshot target area. Arrows were shot through a Pro Digital Chronograph set one arrow length in front of the crossbow stirrup.Test #1: 22" Barnett Head Hunter Carbon Arrow (shaft with field point 430 grain) 400 feet per second. Nock to target distance: 10 5/8", 12 1/2".Test #2: 22" Easton 2219 (shaft with field point 486 grain) 385 feet per second. This arrow shaft is from the mid 1980-1990's, (pure aluminum) cut to length for this crossbow. Nock to target distance 9 1/4", 9 1/4".In each instance, the arrow was removed very easily. This Morrell Target (The Bone Collector 400 F.P.S. Target) is for field point only. It is a very well constructed target, shoot able on four sides with each side having a different graphic. There are two handles on the top of the target for carrying (not for hanging). This target can also be shot with a compound bow which I have done as well. The crossbow is a much higher F.P.S. bow. As with any target, when not in use, mine are always stored inside out of the weather.I have various brands and series of targets in my collection, being purchased, looking for a high quality target. Some of these other targets were cheaper while others were a lot more expensive. This target has had many, many shots and as out performed all other brands I have tried and even some in the Morrell target series. Over all I am very happy with this target and highly recommend it.

Excelente producto.
