Review: An Awesome Update to an Awesome Book - I am an avid collector of Lego Star wars sets and minifigures, and was big fan of the original edition of this book. So, when I found out about this updated and expanded edition I preordered right away. I got my copy today, and I'm happy to report that this beautiful and fully expanded edition is as good or better than the original in every way. This book was released to coincide with the 15th Anniversary of the Lego Star Wars theme. The first edition was published in 2009 (or on the 10th anniversary of the theme), and includes Lego Star Wars sets through 2010. A lot of new sets have been released since then, so this edition provides a much need update. The book includes lots of great things from the original (like the timeline), plus some wonderful new things (like the minifigure gallery) and updates. Here is a list of the key things I liked best about this new edition of the book. (1) It includes just about everything from the first edition (so no need to go back and buy that book if you don't already own it unless you want that minifigure). Plus, it includes info on all of the sets released since then, INCLUDING everything slated for release in 2014 even if it was not out when the book was released (like the Sandcrawler 75059, Mos Eisley Cantina 75052, AT-AT 75054, and more). (2) My favorite part is that it still includes the very helpful and chronological 8 page list of all Lego Star Wars sets ever released (with a picture of each box and broken down by episode/series/expanded universe). (3) Another great part (and an awesome NEW addition to the book) is the 14 page minifigure gallery. It's a great way to see variations of each figure side by side, and also very fun to look through in general. (4) Yet another great new addition is that it includes a Set Index at the back so it is much easier to find everything. (5) It includes 100s of full color photos, and lots of interesting and helpful text and factoids about various sets and the minifigures that came with the sets. I know there can always be more pictures or more text, but given the size of the book and the amount of material they had to cover, I think they continue to do a very nice job overall. (6) All that, and it includes a "retro" Luke Skywalker mini-figure that has the traditional yellow skin you see on most Lego minifigures (including the very first Lego Star Wars minifigures) rather than the more authentic skin color that has been used on Lego Star Wars minifigures since around 2004. I did not start collection Lego Star Wars sets until about five years ago, so this was a real treat for me. The only potential issue some people may not like is that this "exclusive" minifigure looks very similar to (if not the same as) the figure that was released in the original 1999 Landspeeder set (7110). If there is a differences between the two it is very small (it is disassembled and I don't plan on opening mine, so if someone reading this has that set please let us know for sure one way or the other by leaving a comment or by writing your own review). In sum, the Force is strong with this one. It is sure to be a real treat for just about any Lego Star Wars enthusiast. If you enjoyed the original edition, then this one is definitely worth getting. Review: Awesome and informative - I've been a big LEGO (and Star Wars) fan for many years and I love collecting various merchandise of both. This book helps greatly in that endeavor. It's very detailed and informative with a lot of great tools to aid in my collecting, such as a timeline of the sets in the beginning of the book and a chart of minifigures in the back. It also includes a section on UCS sets and showcases a few MOCs It's pretty much the same as the original, just updated and expanded through 2014.

Wonderful LEGO book with an exclusive Luke Skywalker minifig
The book alone is worth the price, as it covers every single LEGO Star Wars release up to the current 2014 sets. In this edition, there is also the inclusion of a minifig gallery that was sorely lacking in the previous edition of the book. Plus there is the retro Luke Skywalker minifig that is exclusive to this release, which if past, out of print book release minifig prices continue to climb as they have, this book is a fantastic bargain, and for the serious collector you may want to purchase multiple copies for "safe keeping".

This has to be one of the best values I have ever bought on Amazon. and I have bought 1000s of items from Amazon
This has to be one of the best values I have ever bought on Amazon. It is a unbelievably well constructed book with beautiful pages very durable its just plain beautiful. It pretty much shows ALL the star wars Kits assembled and a timeline with the box covers of the kits and all the guys ( every version ) I gave this book to my three year old who Loves legos and Star Wars. He Loves I mean Loves reading this book. The Pictures and illustrations are awesome. His memory recall has improved massive amounts since he opened this book. He asks what and who they are I tell him and the next day he tells me. One of the coolest things is I have bought him a few of the cheap star wars lego kits and when he gets them he gets the book and can go straight to the page where it shows the box kit and then the page where it is assembled and then to the characters and points to the one he got with the kit. The book also comes with Luke Skywalker Lego Guy. all for $10 are you kidding me. I have not read the reviews on this item yet. But I would be blown away if there was any reviews without 5 Stars.

I am almost embarrassed to say my step-son reads this ...
I am almost embarrassed to say my step-son reads this practically every night!! He loves the heck out of it. He recently learned to read and write and pours over the encyclopedic content of this book. He tells me every character and vehicle since the beginning is mentioned and explained. The back is sort of a catalogue (to get kids to ask their parents to buy, no doubt!) of all the Lego kits available. His Xmas list came almost exclusively from this book. I can't complain - it is well made of a hard-ccover, thick glossy pages, and includes an action figure. If you have a SW enthusiast in your home, try this!

fun for your favorite LEGO fan
This book is great, it has images of all of the LEGO Star Wars sets through 2014. There are pages showing all of the assorted minifigures as well. If you wanted to know if your favorite character was available, you can view it here. It's got good information and great pictures. The minifigure is exclusive to this book. It's a nice little throwback to the earlier figures in the line, but doesn't really fit in with modern figures. I sold my minifigure to cut down on my costs associated with this book.

Lego Star Wars Dictionary
Really nice book. It's basically the size of a coffee table type book. It has a lot of weight to it. Very nice book with lots of details as to the figures and my kids enjoy it thoroughly. It comes with a minifigure that my kids were so excited about the book, they forgot about the figure for about a week. Highly recommend for kids that are big Star Wars Lego fans.

A must if you're a Lego Star Wars fan
Picks up where the original left off and even includes the new 2014 kits. Usual DK quality in materials and concise info. The mini figure guide is a great feature. It's more up to date than the 2010 black book with the medal wearing Luke freebe but just shows the figures in lists, no detailed info. Again a must for us Lego Star Wars nuts. Classic Luke an odd choice for free mini figure but it's still a collectable! I like the early yellow headed figures.
