Sure Sharp Saw Chain Sharpener

I've owned several over the years. They're great for saving money instead of buying blades. Keep it sharp and it saves on wear and tear on both saw and chain.

I have off and on eyeballed this product and several others like it for years now. A friend of mine told me he had one and was pretty sold on it, so I thought why not for 30 some dollars it’s worth trying. I have always just hand sharpened and if the chain was too mangled I’d take it in and have it tuned up for five dollars at the shop, but this tool does just as good as the bench machine at the shop. I took the time to actually read the instructions to make sure that I had the guide set set properly which was easy to do. 10 minutes later I had a chain that was brand new quality rather than one that wasn’t worth a lick. To say the least, I was more than pleased with the results. I have always been skeptical a fancy new fangled gimmicks, but I have to say this one will spoil you in a hurry. Having to have a power source is the only downside to this tool, if it had a quality lithium battery perhaps it would be even more ideal. That being said nothing beats the reliability of a couple files when out in the back country, just had to say that all that badmouthing these fancy gimmicks wasn’t all true. With God as my witness, I have to confess that this is a handy tool and does a fine job.

I had no problem understanding how to use this tool. I have some small 12V batteries and they worked out ok. I sharpened six chains with one stone and can probably do three or four more; have to see. Traditionally I am a file user and files require more muscle.

Very nice unit to have when out in the woods cutting wood. Needs vehicle for 12 volts

I am not very good at sharpening chain saws by hand. Bought this and it made my life so easy. Guide makes it really simple to use and my chainsaw was as sharp as new when I was done. Also Love that I can plug it into my truck

I use this device often and today for whatever reason after I unhooked it from battery and walked away to only find my garage smelling like burning wire and smoke. Found it on my work counter melted, still not sure what happened. I’ve had it since October 2023.
