Scanner Maxicom MK908 Pro II, 2026 Same as MS908S PRO II/Elite 2 Pro

I've owned my repair shop for 12 years, so I've been through a lot of scan tools. Finally had to retire my trusty old MS908P. It was a great scanner for a long time, but that Android 4 OS was getting way too slow and couldn't run some of the newer third-party apps we need in the shop now. I've had good luck with Autel gear over the years, but before spending this kind of cash, I actually got on the snap on truck to look at their new boxes. After comparing notes, this MK908 Pro I just made the most sense for my setup. The biggest surprise was the VCI. The manual barely mentions the J2534 capability, but I messaged tech support to see if it would work as a pass-thru for BMW ISTA. They shot me the driver, I got it set up, and it actually works flawlessly for BMW diag and pulling vehicle info. I really wasn't expecting it to go that smoothly right out of the box. I'm at the point in my career where my younger techs handle the heavy wrenching, while I focus on high-level diag and keeping the shop running. This scanner is fast, covers all the newer vehicles rolling in, and makes my day a whole lot easier without having to fight a laggy screen.worth every Penny.

I have been using Autel tools for years starting with MK808. I recently upgrated to MK908 Pro II because I need more features than what old scanner could do. After a few weeks of use, I have already used it on several module replacement and coding jobs. What really stood out was the support after purchase. While working on a 2020 BMW X3, I thought a coding function wasn't support and I reached out to the customer service team. I uploaded a data log and a short video and they got back to me quickly and ended up being a simple workflow issue on my side. Great scan tool, knowledgeable support team and definitely worth for upgrade.

I work at a GM dealership and I use this scan tool daily, very easy to navigate and find special functions and this tool does a bunch of things that my snap on scanner can not. I would recommend this to anyone that does more than work on only their vehicles. Live data is great also for Diag work. It’s also a tablet so you can download apps easily for personal use update are very easy to do just hit start and it does everything else!

I originally had an issue with the OBD connector not working, so I ordered a replacement. After replacing it, the entire scanner completely stopped turning on. Now the whole unit is dead. This has been very frustrating, especially since the tool has not been used heavily. A diagnostic scanner should be reliable, and I did not expect multiple failures like this.

I hesitated because of the cost, but after half mouth of hard use, I only regret not buying it sooner. The main reason I got it was for BMW/Benz online programming. Had a5-series with a used DSC module. Normally that’s a dealer trip or $400 remote coding. Hooked up the Autel MK908 PRO II with the J2534 box, followed the on-screen prompts, and the module flashed like a charm. Solid connection throughout, no dropouts. But it’s a total workhorse. Full system scans, not just engine/trans. Had a Hyundai with an airbag light that cheap scanners couldn’t read. This scan tool pulled the code in 30 seconds from the moment I plugged in. Bi-directional controls are smooth too. And one more thing, the support actually picks up. Had an issue with Autel cloud login once, shot them an email, got a real person responding in under an hour. That alone is worth it. If you’re just tinkering with an old Civic, it’s overkill. But for indie shops or serious DIYers swapping modules and coding? Buy once, try once. No regrets.

Decent alternative to tool truck brand scanners with most all the same features. It has some weird quirks here and there but overall is a pretty capable scan tool I use on the job. Boots quickly and does most everything I expect of it. Someday though I guess I'll have to fork out money to update it like any of these kinds of scanners.

Love this scanner! Reads the vehicles data super fast! Scanning for codes is super quick and in depth. The mobility and quickness of this scanner is definitely outstanding. I highly recommend to try it. Definitely going to be getting some more attachments for it soon!

long battery life while using. Works on Imports and North American. Big touch screen. Blue tooth. Can program new modules or reprogram existing module. Module Data is available from internet (included in the package). Can code modules also(set parameters). Live data, bi-directional control for diag also. plus the usual other programs. To train tpms must purchase additional adapter. Love this scanner!

This ultimate diag tester is very very good! It’s fast and doing the job well.

Terrible quality. Bought in November and the button is sticking.
