Very good
I used a (much cheaper) Pool Blaster aqua broom for several years and thought it was fine, plus I was sceptical that a rechargeable model would actually be as powerful. But after having to buy a new aqua broom three seasons in a row (they're fragile and prone to rust in the battery compartment) I splashed out and got this. I have to say, it's great. Even more powerful than the aqua broom and much more sturdy. I never bother with hoses attached to the skimmer now - this even picks up small leaves and gravel. The only downsides are: 1) it lasts less than an hour so recharging might be a pain if you don't have power by your pool; 2) you only get one filter and they fall apart after a month or two - you can buy replacements on amazon but it's a bit stingey; 3) the price; 4) as other reviewers have said, working out how to attach the charger to the cleaner the first time is a bit of a head-scratcher

Bypass's the pool filter
The most important thing about the Blaster is that it cleans the pool without putting debris into the pool filter, with the fine dust bag inside it cleans all the grit and sand from the bottom of the pool after a Sahara sand rain incident, if you have a vinyl pool do not remove the brush's as another review has on here, I have a 10m x 5m pool and the battery last sufficiently to clean the whole of the bottom, very rarely use the Zodiac robot after the initial opening clean in the Spring, I now have the latest one as the first one in reality had a design fault on the charging plug that let in water and destroyed the battery, but no matter that I bought another, its a brilliant bit of kit, don't know why there aren't others available.

The uk plug adapter that came with the vac didn’t fit the charging device (the other two did ) . Can only use with my own Europe to uk adapter.

Failed after one use...
Not as solidly built as I expected for such an expensive item. But worked once reasonably well then recharged and failed to work again so returned for full credit.Standard filter doesn’t trap fine dirt so need to buy additional fine filters also very expensive. So not sure what now to buy...

Decent Widget
Our home is in the Phoenix, AZ area and we experience Haboobs (dust storms). Our new pool was completed on July 1, 2023. The pool has an in floor popup cleaning system. While this sytem works well, it is incapable of removing the fine particles mainly because the finer particles get stuck in the low areas between the pebbles of the Pebble Tec flooring. The only way to remove the dust is to sweep the pool multiple times while the pool is running until you've stirred enough stuff up that it eventually gets sucked into the pool's filter system. On that note, I purchased this vacuum to see if I can reduce the amount of time needed to remove the dust from the pool after a Haboob. I also purchased, on the reviews of other's, the ultra fine filter liners. Firstly, the vacuum is simple to use. Honestly for me, the most difficult thing to on this product is plugging in the charger. It is oddly shaped and is a bit awkaward to get positively engagaed. The amount of suction created by the vacuum is enough to where the vaccum will stay engaged on the vertical walls. My pool/spa combo is ~15K gallons, and the battery lasted easily for its debut run while I didn't notice any reduction in power for the roughly 15 minutes it ran. First impressions. I was shocked by the amount of debris that was captured in the filter bag. I didn't even try to clean the fine filter liner bag. Five came in the package so I just pitched this one. The vacuum's filters did a good job at trapping at what I would condsider >90% of the silt. As some reviews commented you can see the ultra fine silt being blown back into the water, but the amount removed versus the amount bypassed is heavily weighed on the removed side making the total efficiency worth it. Longevity is an unknown at this point in time. I did have an issue with a rectangular piece of plastic that resides in the "foot" of the vacuum popping out and being captured in the filter bag. I am not sure what its purpose is, but probably not going to do anything in the grand scheme of things. I see the "foot" as being a consumable, but there is no part# listed in the manual, which, could make this a pita at a later date. Also, the main filter needs to be cleaned after use. In my case the fine filter bag liner took the abuse. The main filter was easily cleaned with the spray feature in the kitchen sink. In the end, this vacuum will easily reduce the time needed to remove the junk blown into the pool post a Haboob. My first impressions are positive and at this point in time I would recommend this widget.

It Kicked Butt!
Okay Folks here goes...... At first I was a little weary on forking over 200 dollars for this. However my German Sheppard puppy at about 10 months old, decides he was going to eat my pool cover in the winter months. (He is an inside dog)Took him about 30 minutes. Soooo all these leaves, helicopter things, grass you name it. is now in my pool. I skimmed everything out. (That could be skimmed every week in the cold months) and went to hook up the pool hoses, now that it is spring-ish. Yep you guessed it the puppy ate the hose too. Houston, I have a problem. A friend had told me about self contained pool vacs and I saw the prices. AAAAAHHHHH Found this vac.( In my price range)Ordered a few extra filters( I KNEW I was going to go through a few)You should have seen what was at the bottom of my pool. I am NOT joking about an 1/8" thick sludge, decayed yucky stuff. So I used the pool net to get all leaves and big stuff out. My Pool Blaster arrived. I charged it and went for it. The filter that came with the vac was just what I needed. Okay here comes the truth. I could only vac about 3 feet then had to rinse the filter. BUT it was picking up about a 1/4" of sludge in the filter. This job was going to take awhile. I wish I would have taken pictures because you would not have believed it.Okay After a complete charge ( 1st use) it lasted about an hour and 1/2. In that time I must have rinsed 40 times. Yes 40. When I put the vac on the bottom of the pool it sucked to see the liner. But only about 2-3 feet. BUT GUYS you had to see the stuff it was picking up. It did not let anything go threw, none of the "clouds"(Which tells me it will pick up that dead algae without the "cloud). IT PICKED IT UP. OKAY 2 1/2 days later and 6 full charges. My pool is clean. I MEAN CLEAN.Now if you get this. ORDER the filter that CAME with it for replacement. IT was the best out of the 3 I ordered .(The sand and micro filter did the "cloud"a little). After I had rinsed and rinsed, it was falling apart. However that is not a bad thing. I know I rinsed about 125 times easy.( I am telling you it was like thick MUD) It just could not take any more. I am glad I purchased this and my neighbor said I could have sold 1000 if I had taken pictures. Hope this helps. Oh Also I had sand in the bottom, I used the sand filter.. Which works okay, again you are going about 5-6 feet clean clean. Then the sand weighs it down. Now that my pool is clean it can be regular vac with one charge on NORMAL dirt and debris removal. If it gets bad your gonna rinse and rinse. BUT this will do the job. This little machine has a tiger heart!

Works great
We have a 15x30 foot Oval above ground pool with a depth of 3.9 feet. We installed it approx 2 years ago. I didn’t like using the supplied standard vacuum that attaches to the skimmer and uses our sand filter to clean the sucked up debris. So I bought a cheaper rechargeable vacuum (Intex) it was only about $125.00 , I found this vacuum convenient, however it didn’t really do a good job. I was frustrated with the amount of debris it would kick up in the water and not “suck up”. I didn’t want the cost of a pool robot vacuum and I really dont mind vacuuming the pool myself. I stumbled upon this vacuum. I have only used it once, but I am very impressed with the suction and the size of the vacuum head itself. I just finished cleaning the pool and removed a lot of debris that my old Vacuum would not have picked up. I dont need to use it multiple times to realize it is a great product at a fair price. I believe you get what you pay for and this is a great product priced reasonably well.

Not good for ultra-fine debris (despite the 'ultra-fine' filter)
Charged easily, and worked well out of the box. Simple to assemble and operate. Works fine on standard pool debris. Unfortunately, despite the 'commercial grade' certification and the inclusion of an 'ultra-fine' filter bag, the product completely failed to deal with the mustard algae residue that was the prime reason for my AUD$1000 purchase. Use on such algae simply resulted in brown clouds spewing from the exhaust vent. Got the pool professionally cleaned for $99 instead....
