SPEED BEEZ® J Frame Speed Loader (38/357) Fits the Smith Wesson® 5 Shot

I have a S&W 442 J-Frame that has notoriously limited clearance around the grip for reloading. This speed loader does not miraculously solve that issue but it works fairly well despite that issue. It retains rounds using a captive spring which is not as secure as the method used on the HKS speed loaders so there is a slightly greater chance of having a loose round or two in your pocket. Conversely it releases the rounds into the cylinder more efficiently then the HKS speed loaders making for faster reloading. It’s a costlier system of speed loading then the HKS. Weather it’s worth it or not is a personal preference.

A good product, only negative was no instructions on how to load cartridges, I had to go to Youtube to find out....

1. Buy the loading block regardless of what speed loader you use. Very handy. 2. This works easily & well. Put the loader on the rounds, push down on black body. Place on cylinder & push the yellow top. 3. I tried the Safariland Comp-1 loader. Works well. But it locks up over time if you leave it loaded. This Speed Beez is better. 4. Tried the Five Star loader. Difficult to get rounds in. Requires you to sort of hold the cylinder and turn knob to release. I'm not sure why this is so difficult. My guess is the cam shifts the round's position. 5. The other option is to send the gun back to S&W & have them install a moon clip cylinder (and maybe chamfer the holes, too). About $200.

Good product. Performs as required, however offers only slightly upgraded existing designs. Retains and releases rounds reliably. Release knob too large for CCW. Gold color a little too flashy also.

When you need to reload your revolver quickly this is the loader you want! Easy to fill the loader. VERY quick and easy transfer of the cartridges from loader to revolver…insert the cartridges in the chambers, press the loader handle and drop the loader in one easy sequence. Cartridge retention is excellent. Highly recommend. DID buy again!

These speed loaders are awesome and very easy to use. Definitely the best speed loaders that I have been able to find, they even work well with wadcutters or the new federal hst hollow points that look like a backwards wadcutters (which is ammo I would definitely recommend carrying in a j frame matched with 1 or 2 of these speed loaders).

These are the easiest to grab, and easiest to use of a variety of speed loaders I tested. As they automatically release the ammo by pushing into the cylinder, there's no need to remember to twist the knob or other release method. That's particularly important as my intended use is for personal protection, not target practice. Under extreme duress of a self-defense life and death situation, I want it to be as simple as possible. They're too large to carry in my pants pocket in addition to everything else already there, so I have an ammo holder on my shoulder harness and an ankle pouch for when I'm wearing my ankle holster.

Definitely prefer the speed loader by HKS. It is smaller, lighter and works smoother and faster then the Speedbeez. Speedbeez is big, stiff and awkward to use.
