Allowed a good seal on an aftermarker big box store radiator
I had to replace my stepson's 2000 Cherokee radiator. Got a radiator locally from a national parts store. Fit fine but the old cap would not seal it properly. Got some leakage around the cap. Likely a small dimensional difference from stock to aftermarket radiator filler neck. Tried another new cap with the same small leakage. Really needs a thicker rubber gasket. This pressure release version has the needed thicker gasket as part of the design for pressure release. Worked perfectly with the aftermarket radiator. Will work on any radiator but it solved a problem on my replacement radiator.

Radiator cap review
Top of the line quality cap for a reasonable cost. This statement is derived from when that I made the purchase. Since then (currently), and since I bought so many of them, they (Amazon), has raised the price almost $5. per item! Beware of Amazon! They like to play games with pricing ......

It works and cheaper on amazon that local auto stores
Bought them for my Van that was overheating and I was replacing all the components of the system I needed too. Would like one with a temp gauge on it like I was able to order for my kia but it don't seem you can get them for larger vehicles without it costing a lot. installs easy, seals the way it should quality seemed just as good or better than oem parts do like how you can flip the red handle and release steam/pressure from the systems

It won't fit a Toyota radiator.
When I ordered this I forgot to check to see what car it would fit on. This one fits on a Nissan, not on a Toyota. So, if I ever buy another Nissan I'll be all set.

Cheaply built, didn't fit, don't recommend
Did NOT fit my 1989 Dodge cummins truck. The metal on this is thin. The plastic lever was about to break off from the sheer amount of pressure i was trying to get this on with. Not functional or useful for this application. I say stick to OEM style.
